I agree with everything you stated. I just don't think Karr will blow them out like some think. I don't think Karr has faced a team yet that can pass the ball like Lakeshore can. Lakeshore has one of the best passing attacks I have seen in high school in a long time.

True, one of the coaches where I work now said redeemer was a good catholic school back in the day.. they were a shitty football program when I was in high school

Redeemer was the descendant of old Redemptorist High School on Constance and Josephine St. in the Irish Channel, uptown New Orleans.
When Redemptorist closed, they moved out to Gentilly, where Holy Cross now stands. They were the only co-ed Catholic high school in the City or southshore. They were a AA school (true AA, not with the multiplier) so had little success with football. They fielded competitive basketball and baseball teams (coached by Skeeter Theard).
Enrollment dwindled in the mid 1980s and they merged with Seton Academy which was in the old Sacred Heart School on Canal Street, becoming "Redeemer Seton" until it closed.

I think Lakeshore’s HC was a former assistant for Mandeville High.
They don’t look overly impressive on the hoof but they just blow teams out, so they are clearly well coached. Their OL and DL are sneaky good and have senior offensive weapons. Their schedule has been mediocre but a lot of pundits expected them to lose to Neville and Rayne... and welp.

We were. 1981-1984.
All boys, 180 of us.
Played in a AA district with Curtis, Newman, Buras, Belle Chasse, Redeemer (for basketball and baseball,) shite....memory fails me.
Know we played a newly formed Northshore H.S, and St. Martin in jamboree in 1983.
Played home games at Behrman, in years prior, we played some at Pan-Am. and Kirsch-Rooney.

If Lakeshore can stop the run, they might have a chance to win a lower scoring game. I'm not sure they can block Karr's front seven.

Great matchup of the the 2 best 4a teams in the state. I think it will be a close game and come down to turnovers

I'm sure most people think Karr wins easily due to reputation but I think this is going to be a very good game. Karr has the advantage with a few better athletes but Lakeshore will have the advantage in coaching. Don't be surprised if this is a tight game or Lakeshore winning it
I think it will be a good game, not sure if Lakeshore has the advantage in coaching. Karr's HC Brown can coach. He was selected as the New Orleans Saints’ nominee for the Don Shula NFL High School Coach of the Year Award, last year. His teams have been to the state finals' every year he has been the HC. He played for Frank Wilson and then coached under Jabbar Juluke.

No Karr will win because they're the better team and Lakeshore hasn't faced athletes like this before. Karr has already had two scares in the playoffs while Lakeshore has dominated their opponents. Karr by 3 TDs in this one.

So red pop I forgot about st j v. I know the AA school I attended had 174 boys and 190 something girls
So neither of y'all were at a disadvantage except playing JC. Wasn't st Martin in that district too and river oaks

Neville could not stop them. No one has done that to Neville in the last decade or so.
Up until last year against Karr in the Dome, no team had really spanked Neville in a while. I think the loss last year was the first Neville loss in like 2 years and that included back to back 4A titles but Lakeshore put it on Neville pretty damn good (although we were not the typical Neville team of the last few years this season). The Lakeshore team is pretty stout. Not sure if they can handle Karr but it will be a good game.

River Oaks, that's who I forgot! Biggest mosquitoes ever.
We didnt win a single game that year. Lots of turnovers and way undersized OL.
