I have been saying for a long time that West Monroe football is a slumbering giant, waiting for the right combination to come along.
West Monroe has become the Texas Longhorns of high school football. Tons of talent and money, and too many boosters involved.

I wasn’t able to go to the game, but how does this happen in just 2 quarters with 2 good teams? Is Neville that good, or is West Monroe that bad. I haven’t seen any highlights.
I didn't make the game either so I can't say one way or the other. There are a few highlights on the TV8 site and a few on social media.
It's really hard to judge by a jamboree. WM has traditionally looked bad in jamborees but has gone on to have great seasons.
Add to the fact the WM will be playing Neville in the regular season, so they usually keep their cards close to the chest.
A former WM coach, Glenn Hunt, is now back at West Monroe. Hopefully he can get the OL back to old WM form.
The defense is my main concern. WMs defenses were stout and made the plays when it counted and won many a game.
WM defenses are now slow, out of positions, missing tackles and somewhat soft.
The scuttlebutt around WM is that the DC is going to have to step it up or some hard decisions are going to have to be made.

St Aug will win state this year if they stay healthy.

Neville is going to plow Div 2 non- select. Everyone else is playing for runner up.

Way too early to say that and way too many contenders in select D1…

I like West Monroe and I hope they can return to their former glory very soon.

Da Berry is as ghetto as NOLA.

Amazing how slow and small West Monroe is. They are obviously not getting the elite players they use to get. Going to be another long year for the Rebels with another early playoff loss.

I only watched highlight clips, but it seemed WM was getting manhandled at the LOS.

SA lost 5 Sr's and return 6 Jr's and 11 sophs who started last year. They're gonna be a tough out.

The guys doing the ‘hash it out show’ broadcasts always crack me up
They’re not going to win any national awards for their broadcasts, but they do a fine job for what they’re covering
Son of a bitch, I’m so glad football season is back..

West Monroe passed on Jess Curtis for Todd Garvin
What a dumb mistake.
