He’s more popular as a “martyr” than he ever was as a football player. Do you honestly think he wants to change that? This was all about keeping his name in the headlines...not about actually trying to get signed

I know you all hate Stephen A Smith, but you need to listen to his rant about Kaep and Eric Reid.

Everyone but the willfully ignorant know Kaep doesn't give two shits about playing in the NFL.

How?

The NFL organized the workout Before he was aware of it.

He can’t make that happen.

How many NFL workouts are held on a Saturday?

Oh, clearly holding the workout on a Saturday so obviously set him up to fail. Holy shite, everyone knows you can't throw footballs on Saturday! The horror...

Stephen A said that if he would have showed up the falcons were going to sign him in two weeks. One of the teams that didn’t make the hour drive was the falcons. He said they were pissed and took that as a slap in the face.

You can just say you don’t know very much about the NFL.

All this talk about the waiver... I would expect his team would publish the waiver the NFL ambushed him with if it was so bad. Been 2 days and I haven’t seen anything.

Also, NFL front office is a clown show and I’d believe any nefarious stuff they were supposed to have pulled.

This had nothing to do with playing football. He needed to energize his twitter worshipers so he pulled a publicity stunt.

Well, the NFL is just fine with what happened.

They are now not liable for further claims that they didnt give him a shot.

The NFL seemed to set the entire thing up with one motive, to have Kaep sign a waiver so the NFL couldn't be sued again.

The NFL requires those waivers from everyone who works out for a team or attends a combine, etc.

And generally speaking, so does every other entity in every other field that allows or facilitates potentially dangerous activities. Requiring a liability waiver for anything and everything is just about the most standard practice in this country for businesses with risks from third parties

The difference though is they tried to include a "gotcha" clause to cut off any further suits from him.

Now I don't know why we haven't seen the document. Maybe they wouldn't let him actually have a copy and they couldn't take a picture of it. Who knows?

I don't really have an opinion on him; I don't despise him. He was electric for a couple of years. However I don't trust a single thing the NFL says, ever. This is the organization that denied outright evidence on concussions for years to protect the bottom line.

Did he ever actually protest about being oppressed by white people? That's a Facebook meme. Wasn't his protest over police brutality? Who have many, many black officers?

I am 99.9% sure he is protesting white police brutality as he perceives it. This is very well documented.

He was wearing a Kunta Kinte shirt during his workout the other day. Also wore socks with pigs with police hats on.
