Meh, Verlander is only crying this year and that stat proves it.
You’re melting about your stat because you cherry picked years. Idc about three years ago when Verlander wasn’t even in Houston.

Verlander entered MLB talking about the HOF.
The guy is motivated about being an all time great and has been a student of the game. He knows its history and wants to be a part of it. Takes pride in what he's doing, and records mean something to him.
The same way steroids ruined some of those records and lifetime achievements, the juiced ball has done the same. It's about the integrity of the game, it's a religion for many.
Prior to Babe Ruth, 9 HRs led the league. He made owners realize the value of the HR, and the ball was adjusted accordingly. I'm thankful that happened back then, but I don't see where it's necessary at this point in the game.
College baseball has been through this with the bats, the balls, the ballparks. Look at Omaha just a few years ago. MLB needs to find a balance. The core is too elastic, or the seams are not raised enough right now.

Mike Minor thus far in 2019 has a career best 0.9 HR/9.
AND he pitches in one of the most hitter-friendly parks in baseball. So he figured out how to change his style.

I'm not melting at all. I think it's funny you thinking picking the last 3 years are "cherry picking". I was just pointing out you're stupid for calling Minute Maid a little league park, when you probably need to look in mirror.
ETA: I know you said you don't care when Verlander wasn't there, but Astros were not a good pitching team in 2016 and still had less homers at Minute Maid than they did in Arlington.

Prior 3 years the Astros were higher, sooooooooooooo.... Seems a wash to me

Well, they cracked down on juicing the players. Juice has to go somewhere.
That said, Justin needs to quit his whining. Everyone is throwing the same baseballs. 90% of the butts in the seats want to see home runs, not strikeouts and small ball.

It is like if the NBA added a new rim and everybody across the league started having higher shooting percentages. I think someone like Alex Bregman is a great example of how bad the balls are juiced. Bregman is a great player but he’s gonna hit over 40 and last night had trouble hitting the ball over the high wall. I’m a Braves fan and Swanson is gonna hit over 30 and I honestly wonder how many of his first row homers get caught at the wall without the juiced balls. The fact is warning track fly balls in the past are becoming HRs. If they continue to use the juiced balls someone like Acuna who has 47 HRs and still 6 months from turning 22 has a chance at hitting 200 HRs before turning 25.

I think they'll have the sense to make a correction.
Introduce a new ball in the Spring, or finish with one in the minors.
Remember when blisters were a huge problem for pitchers? I can't remember the last blister I even heard about.

Maddux and Pedro were dealing when the batters were juiced

It defies logic certainly, but still possible in and of itself.
Many other stats involving teams and league can't be written off so well.
Maddux and Pedro had entirely different strike zones to work with, too. Both were amongst the best still, no doubt.

Today’s players are bigger and stronger, have better training, diet, practice and drills, etc
If they aren’t hitting a bunch of front footed, one handed bombs off of him, he needs to STFU

Home runs and strikeouts go together like peas and carrots.

I don’t appreciate MLB fricking with the baseballs. We’re creating a generation of slack-jawed morons who just wait around for homers with their thumbs up their butts. And, yes, you can kindly get off my goddamn lawn as well.

Why does it need to be a conspiracy? MLB wanted to give a boost to offense
You KNOW this how?
Not a conspiracy but then you go on to qoute somebody who believes MLB is hiding eveidence that the balls are in fact juiced
LMFAO! but no conspiracy,right?

I don’t care that the league changed the balls. I care that they did it in secret and are now lying about it.
Good Lord, why would the league try to hide this? I also heard the same thing last year.
Show me the eveidence the ball has been altered beyond the tin foil hat theories.

I mean they have done studies on it the ball IS different. The only question is who ordered the code red

No it isn't.
This quote is from a study from last year.

But now, good news. A committee of experts and scientists has released a study on MLB’s behalf about the home run spike, confirming the balls are flying farther thanks to better carry and reduced drag. The downside is that this crack team of scientists still has no definitive answer as to why balls are doing that

The athletic (paysite) has an astrophysicist who analyzed the 2019 ball to the 2017 and 2018 ball and it is different
