Justin Fields acknowledged he has been playing too robotic, then bit the pin off the grenade and rolled it into the building with his explanation for why he believes it is that way: "Coaching."

These types of things should never be handled through the media. So dumb. Go to him directly.

Maybe he already has and this is a last resort. Either way not a good sign out of Chicago.

I am sure that the coaches are telling him to stare down his first read and to hang onto the ball for too long.

I'd like to hear the question he was responding to and his full answer before burying him. That's a massive grenade for a reporter to just casually toss out in a tweet and then leave it w/"A LOT more on that in a bit."

The fact that he left Georgia because he wasn’t guaranteed the starting position and used racism as an exit tells me he’s a got damn liar.

This dude won’t be in the league much longer.

The coaching staff did call the same screen play three times in a row before the 3rd was picked and returned for TD

Here’s the full interview

At around 21:00 minute mark

LINK

Essentially sounds like he thinks he’s given too much information and isn’t able to “play free” worrying about stuff like that. Probably very important information he wishes he could just ignore.

Sounds like a very unpoetic way of saying he doesn’t think the system is playing to his strengths.

There were already warning signs when he publicly said to the media how unhappy he was just handing the ball off in mop up duty...

..after week 2..

..of his true freshman season.

Justin, you got sacked on this play on Sunday. Can "coaching" help the blind?

Another modern athlete (people in general, really) refusing to be accountable or take responsibility for their own actions.

Member when it was racist that he fell in the draft due to reported character issues and trouble reading defenses?

Sounds like an unpoetic way of saying I don’t have what it takes to play a position where I have to process a lot of information in a short amount of time.

Either that or “I’m too lazy to learn”. It worked for Manziel.

Another reason might be limited sports vision. Some don’t have it. It’s not a knock.

Well, he definitely should have been the starting QB at UGA. Kirby would probably have 3 natties by now if he was the starter instead of Fromm.

Dude had a 3.21 second average time to throw in the pocket in the first game and still was hot garbage.

At lunch, ESPN was asking the panel if "coaching" is failing Fields. 3.21 seconds! Daniel Jones wish he had 3.21 seconds against Dallas!

This isn't college football anymore. You ain't the best or fastest player on the team anymore. The Pro game is 10x of the college game. You have to understand how to read the defense, adjust your protections, audible and make the proper decision throwing the ball. Ain't no I need offense adjusted by my playing style. If you look at recent guys like Payton, Brees, Brady, those guys were smart and understood the defenses and play calls. If you look at guys now. Think Kermit, Burrow, might be the only guys who understand the game that way. Most these guys today just take the play call and react.
