If not for free agency the cowboys and niners would still be on top

the first episode kinda portrayed it as if he just didn’t give a crap.
Well, if Michael Irvin is to be believed, he said Tom Landry's pregame speech for his first career game was "Let's go out here and try to keep it close."
He either didn't care or knew they were absolute trash and didn't think he could coach em up.

Everyone knows Landry never cursed or raised his voice. He was a great coach who got old and probably wasn’t connecting with the generation Irvin was part of. It was time for a change and new direction. That was represented pretty accurately in the episode.

A Netflix production? Is Jerrah played by Morgan Freeman?

I was 12 when Dallas won their last Super Bowl. I'm 42 now. That's how long it's been.

Im finishing the first episode. I enjoy seeing the old photos and reliving some moments. I was living in Dallas at the time and was always a big cowboys. I do remember that first year I think they won 3 preseason games and Jimmy getting excited after every game. I think he thought the Nfl would be easy after that

I wasn’t going to watch either because like everyone else I don’t like the cowboys but a buddy talked me into it saying it’s great just as a fan of football. Just knocked out the first 3 episodes and it’s fantastic. I’m to young to remember the nfl in the 90s so as a pure football fan it’s great to see the history. The 3rd episode that’s all about the 92 NFC championship was just perfection

If Jerry wasn’t such dipshit and ran Jimmy off Cowboys probably win 4 straight Super Bowls.

It’s actually very good and I am not a Cowboys fan.
Same.
I was in high school during their Super Bowl runs. I liked how they mixed in the music of that era along with some great footage. Reminded me of The Last Dance in that way.
I didn't know exactly what happened between Jones and Johnson, so that was interesting to see.
The most emotional part for me personally was Switzer talking about how his mother died. My heart broke for him. It hit very close to home for me.
And of course my favorite part was the 2023 playoff loss to Green Bay.

I hate the Cowboys but the doc is great.
Great honesty.
I’m through episode 4. I’m a Cowboys fan, but I’d like it even if I wasn’t. Thus far, it’s hitting on all the big things. It seems to have all the cast members. Crazy to think back to the strong personalities that had to gel for that magical run to happen.
