So everyone's example are 2 garbage TE's (Gathers and Fells), Julius Thomas who took 3 years to be good and then fell off a cliff after leaving one of the best Qb's ever, and the far outlier of Jimmy Graham? And we are comparing that to old, broken down Julio Jones?

ETA: The smallest of which was Orange Julius who was 6'5" 256lbs, while Julio Jones is 6'3" 220lb

Julio Jones is a washed bum. He’ll be lucky to make the team. Enough with this TE nonsense.

In your opinion what’s the easiest position in the NFL to transition to if you haven’t played football in a LONG time or ever?

Julio Jones signing with Tampa Bay

MSB response:
Let’s argue about transitioning to TE

Anyhow
Impossible to complain about this pick up
Godwin is a ?
Gage is a ?
Gronk gone for good (probably)
Johnson, miller and Darden are sexy long shot training camp badasses, but not much else. If one of them steps up, things are different. Can’t count on it.

I didn’t have an issue with signing Richard fricking Sherman for depth
Won’t have one here

Julio is at least good enough to have the MSB making pages….. even it it’s about MSB tardtime

Obviously health is important and he might not be able to stay healthy. I guess that would mean he’s done.

But when healthy, he still has it.

There have been a ton. Just this offseason Funchess, Arcega-Whiteside, Gandy-Golden.. Atlanta QB Frank's has moved too. There is talk of Harry for the Patriots moving over. Last offseason there were 4 or 5 too. Historically it is a massive list. Guys grow out of being a WR (get stronger and get slower as they age) and do what they can to hold on. It's not as big of an outlier as you are making it.

None of those guys have actually made the transition and contributed at that position. Just making a change out of desperation to save your career doesn’t mean it’s some easy thing to do

It’s absolutely an outlier to have a player switch to that position and crush it. It’s happened, and they try all the time, but rarely does it turn into an effective player.

It doesn’t help that he left and then had to play with Blake Bortles and Jay Cutler.

He owes Peyton Manning his entire career.

Show us your favorite makeshift corners who worked in the NFL.

You keep getting shown guys who never played football, went and played in foreign basketball leagues for 5+ years, and came back to be ok at TE and your response is, “those guys are below average!!!”

Can y’all help us out AT ALL here? What is an easier transition?

The debate is what position is easiest to transition to.

So those TEs suck.

Which position that guys transition to DOESNT suck?

TE is the hardest non QB position to learn and play. Idk why people seem to think you can just throw some dude out there in that role

Because I can in Madden. Chase Claypool is a beast at TE.

That and he was always hurt. He left Denver and broke his tailbone halfway through the next season iirc.

I’ll bet Brady makes him shine this season. Granted, I DON’T want that to happen, and I was disappointed when I saw he was going to the Bucs, for that very reason.

We think he’s washed because of his short tenure with the Titans, but he had Ryan Tannehill throwing to him. Never thought Tannehill was very good tbh.
