If Trump gets ICE to go after lawyers, i will vote for a third term.

They have sucked the fun out of society.

NCAA should get CFP to issue a statement that TT will not be allowed postseason if Sorsby plays this year.

They should take it further than that.

NCAA should put the death penalty on the table and tell Texas Tech that they're suspended as an NCAA member institution in all sports if Sorsby remains on the roster. NCAA members have all agreed to the NCAA bylaws and a player that bets on his own school's games is among the most egregious violations of the bylaws as there is.

How has the TT locker room revolted at bringing back a player WHO BET AGAINST THEM?

Everything changes. Pete Rose era of gambling was an overt, seedy lifestyle that required people, connections, etc., Nowadays, even ESPN forces gambling down our throat with every other commercial, even forced gambling into the ESPN app, and make fans feel like losers if they don’t bet now.

The laws haven’t caught up with the changes. NIL money was/is the same, dealerships used to “loan” players cars for six years, like GTFO. Sorsby shouldn’t pay the price for greedy insiders trying to line their pockets, while outdated laws punish him and the team. He should be allowed to play, and all the NCAA and their corporate partners need to be held accountable if they really wanna make a change.

GUNS UP!

(I stole this from r/TexasTech)

Expert Level mental gymnastics....that's retarded even by texas tech standards.

Now imagine you're on trial, and you get this guy as your judge. Do you have more money than the prosection/defense? Better hope so, because he can obviously be paid to rule.

Does anyone know the details of the hearing that led to the Temporary Injunction? Were Sorsby and Texas Tech the only parties present?

Did the NCAA attend the hearing and argue their case and merits? If not, there will be a second more formal hearing allowing the NCAA to respond.

What is the next step? Has another hearing been scheduled? I haven’t seen any details on the judge’s ruling beyond headlines.

The NCAA rules are crystal clear that if RJ Luis signed a two-way contract with the NBA, which he did, that he should not be eligible to play for LSU.

But apparently all LSU needs to do is find a La. judge to ignore the NCAA rules and give an injunction, much like TX & MS judges did for Sorsby & Chambliss, despite clear-cut NCAA rules saying they were also ineligible.

Can't wait to see Jay Bilas cry.

Any school that relies in this and plans for him to play in 2026 is run by retards. There's no fricking way this stands up.

Maybe not to this extreme but you are naive if you think the SEC and Big Ten want guardrails on what CFB has become.

Dexter Morgan was addicted to murder. Somewhere a judge has signed off on an injunction to let him still play for Miami.

Another path could be for other schools to refuse to play Texas Tech. Courts can’t force them to play.

I don't see a reason why they couldn't force teams to play them...if not in a traditional sense, in a financial one. TTU will claim that those teams cancelling their games would cause "damages" like were shown for Sorsby.

Can't wait until people start suing to get little Johnny on the high school team after he didn't make it.

This already happens. A few years ago a family sued a HS basketball coach and the school for not playing their son. In that case, I agreed with the ruling. It was obvious the coach had a personal issue with the boy’s father and was punishing the kid because of it. The kid was easily one of the best players on the team.

In Sorsby’s case, it’s a complete farce (even though most of us knew it was coming) and another step toward the dissolution of the NCAA.
