Why did Dusty Baker get fined?

Really, tell me how any of the players on the team were punished? How many games were they suspended? How many games did they have to forfeit last year? Were their illegitimate World Series rings reposssed? How much were their fines?

Anxiously waiting to hear all of those details I must have missed the last year

I didn’t say anything other than the organization got punished.

They were fined 5 million dollars and lost draft picks. So yes there was a punishment which is all I said

But stay mad it’s awesome

Do not get this at all still. I’d find it hard to believe Dave told anyone to do anything, he’s pretty intelligent and level headed it seems like. Not like he would encourage anything to happen

Bro, the Yankees and Red Sox were caught cheating as well. Apparently the Yankees deal is bad enough that they had lawyers file an injunction to prevent the findings becoming public.

The faux outrage is actually quite pathetic. The Astros were made the scapegoat for a league wide issue. Just like the saints were with Bounty Gate.

You said “the whole organization got punished” inferring that management, ownership, players, etc... You’re response was to someone saying “the players didn’t get punished”.

Don’t backtrack, own your response.

I’m not mad. See thats the difference between rational and objective people and blowhards like yourself. We know its a game that has zero effect on our lives.

I just like calling out hypocrites and the people who kick their dogs and drink because their team lost.

Again you are wrong. WCA said the Astros didn’t get punished and I told him we was wrong and that the organization did get punished. Which is true. There was nothing inferred about players

And how am I not being rational and a drunk who likes to beat my dogs because of this interaction? But yea you aren’t upset

Huh? The NL is only league in the world that changed rules
it shouldn’t have happened in the first place in 1972 but that was before I was born so I just accepted it

They let it get out of hand when they didn’t punish the players who cheated lmao.

They would’ve been forced to go way further into the rabbit hole than they had any intention in going if they were going to do that.

Just stating I’m a dick in general... I don’t take sports serious like a lot of people. So when people say I’m mad, I’m really not

And I’m not picking on the stros, the Yanks and Sox should be punished too. But IMO, the stros deserve to take a few to the back since they weren’t really punished for their role in the cheating.

MLB is basically encouraging more cheating. Nobody cares if the GM was banned for life basically. They didn’t discipline the players and won’t let their fellow players discipline them

How is that any different from how it’s always been? The MLB has no interest in stopping cheating. They never have. They turned a blind eye to steroids after years of rumors until it was confirmed and brought to light. Then they scapegoated a few players and instituted a couple rules and moved on.

They did the same thing with electronic sign stealing. They turned a blind eye for years until Fiers blew the whistle and then they scapegoated a team to pretend they were doing something and is actively trying to kick the rest under the bed.

This isn’t new. Not by a long shot.
