No doubt. He did end the Dodgers season last year, now he's the clubhouse hero. The punishment is probably a good trade in his mind. Especially as a relief pitcher. More power to him.

If your boss explicitly tells you not to do something, and you do it anyway, you would likely get punished too. He knew it. I would bet hes even ok with it. Probably even embracing it, if that pic is real.
