It sounds like many LSU fans are willing to dump ex LSU players for being woke but y’all are making excuses for Joe.
Joe not being a racist, and Ryan Clark actually being one, are two different situations. Surely you have enough sense to discern the difference between the two...

Story is so fake
Probably not, maybe a little embellished like practically every non sports sports story
Last summer he tweeted something along the lines of “the black community needs our help” and the rant nearly caved in

The fact that this has 60 down votes to 20 up votes tells you all you need to know about 75% of the posters on here.

He's dad said
"For us, just the normal core values we grew up with: Always show respect, treat people with respect no matter who they are, what their background is, and be willing to help others when you can."
You raised him right pops.

There isn't a goddamn thing wrong with Joe having empathy for a teammate and sharing that story with his team, and you frick faces on here that have a problem with that are what's wrong with this fricking country.

I mean, it makes sense.
You find yourself in 1200's Europe, you bend a knee to the pope and vow to fight heathens.

So supporting your teammates in causes they care about, can make those teammates closer to you, and a closer team is a better team?
Wow... breaking news here.

Interesting that this wasn't a story at tOSU, wasn't a story at LSU, wasn't a story during LSU title win, and wasn't a story till day-ish of super bowl.
NFL trying so hard to get the fans to like some one in this game.
"Please like some one in this game, pretty please" sin, NFL

Well it happened in 2020 summer when all the crap when down... which was after he wad drafted... which was after he went to LSU and well after he left tOSU.
Now... waiting until today? Well that's valid but we get all kinds of stories like this when the media runs out of x and o stuff to talk about, which always happens in Super Bowl.
