I could not stand him from day 1.
His dad was great.
You could hear cardinals in l.c. in 50's.
I still remember a couple of games he did. When ashburn beat out musial for batting champ last day.
And years later, when gibson struck out allen and johnny callison with bases loaded, twice in same game.
St Louis won pennant by one game over phils.
Joe should change his name.

In his defense, "[insert team] win the pennant" or "[insert team] win the title/championship" is kind of a ubiquitous sportscaster line. Not exactly clever or different...it's a statement of fact.

Joe Buck sneaks in little subtle jabs at his haters, but the haters are never witty enough to realize it. All Buck does is play you people. I love it.
