Bailed about by an absolutely absurd roughing the passer call.

they got very lucky
it's still the wrong call statistically
if CHI returns this KO for a TD does it magically change the percentages of the choice? no. i wouldn't claim that to justify my thread, either

you're ignoring the negative options
And you're ignoring that his decision actually worked (judging by the replies in this thread; I'm not watching the game).
Your whole point in making this thread is that you would have made a different decision. You have your reasons. Jim Caldwell has his. And some good reasons for kicking the FG have been outlined in this thread.
It seems obvious (to me) that it's a decision that could go either way.
And if Caldwell's decision happens to work and they win the game, I'd say that makes you look like an idiot.

You can ignore all of that
If Caldwell makes the call, it's definitely wrong

do you understand statistics?

no, my whole point in this thread is that it was a horrible decision in terms of statistics

there is ample data and it all basically disagrees with this statement

outlier events occur

again, this is like playing poker for runner runner and then claiming you "read it right" by hitting it
No it's not. It's not like that at all.
You're having a very hard time coming to terms with Caldwell winning this game.

Playing based off of stats without taking into consideration the context is asinine, like those stats geeks that say you should never punt.
