Jets become the first team in NFL history to go an entire season without getting an INT

Interceptions became an official stat in 1933.
Since then, every single season every team has recorded an interception at some point, until the 2025 Jets.
17 games, 0 picks.
It's exceptionally terrible because there are more games than ever and offenses are passing more than ever, and they still got 0.
Has to be a combination of terrible secondary talent and horrible coaching schemes

That’s a pretty wild stat. Even the best QBs throw them it just happens sometimes.
I remember intercepting a ball when I was 7 at a jamboree game with my dad’s shirt over my pads because our jerseys weren’t in yet. Only so many places to be on the field

The Jets have allowed 36 passing TDs without a single pick in 17 games.
They let Mitchell Trubisky throw 22/29 and 4TDs today...
The previous record for least interceptions by a team in a season was 2 set by the 49ers in 2018. That 9ers team also has the record for fewest takeaways at 7.
The Jets broke both 9ers marks as they have recovered just 4 opponents fumbles this year finishing the year with 4 takeaways in 17 games
The NFL record for most TD passes in a season without an Interception is Steve Young who threw 10 TDs without a pick as Montana's backup in 1987. The Jets as a team allowed 3.6 times that
