You are speaking, on authority, about how humans are simply emotional beings who throw reason out the door based on environmental prejudice.

You are a human. And a masterclass in irony.

Am I?

If human history, in all aspects of living, isn't repetitious enough for you, then you might continue to conclude that humans actually have this objective, selfless/governing thing figured out.

It kinda hard to be too ironic when there is clearly no human exception to the rule.

I’d usually continue this but not in a thread about the Lakers and not with someone who thinks the only way to see past his own nose is to look down it.

I'm just making it clear to you that your bullshite about prejudice doesn't have a thing to do with me. It was a purposeful smear against me on your part, and cowardly.

Discussing human nature shouldn't be a cultural thing.

Discussing the history of the lakers franchise and where certain people fit on it isn’t a regional thing.

No you have to start with West. Not just as a player of course but building 80s dynasty.

Then drafting Kobe, signing Shaq and Phil.

Dude gave half his life to the Lakers and was an integral part to almost 20 Finals appearances.

Agreed.

The fact she mentioned a guy who’s been on the Lakers for less than three seasons and has made the playoffs in one season is rank insanity.

Saying LeBron James is more important to the Lakers than Jerry West is like saying Peyton Manning is more important to the Broncos than John Elway.

Clearly he’s trolling you with this nonsense, no one with a functioning brain would say this and genuinely mean it

It was Dr.Buss' call to draft Magic.

Lebron’s role with the Lakers greatness will be minimal when all is said and done. He’s just a body in the jersey. He’s not synonymous with purple and gold. He will be known mostly for the Cleveland title and the era of superteams with what they did in Miami.

Phil is very important to the history of LA, I’ll give her that. But Lebron’s legacy with the franchise isn’t going to be shite compared to West, Shaq, Kobe, Worthy, Elgin, Riley, Magic, etc.

Bill Sharman secured that pick for the Lakers as GM before Buss was the owner. (We know scout Jerry West preferred Moncrief) . It was Dr Buss' decision to hire Phil Jackson as well after a decade of mediocre Jerry West hires at Head Coach: Dunleavy, Bill Bertka, Randy Pfund, Rambis, Dell Harris,etc.....

Sharman had already drafted Cooper, Nixon, signed Jamaal Wilkes & secured the #1 pick in 79( Magic) before Buss even owned the team. Also got the #1 pick in the 82 draft(Worthy). Sharman drafted Rambis & signed McAdoo.

Sharman built the 80's Lakers. Coached the iconic 1st Championship Lakers team of 72 , was the GM or Exec until 1989 & Dr Buss' personal Consultant until around 2011 . Over 40 years of service Sharman gave & he gets little respect.

She had to say LeBron so he wouldn’t put out a hit on her through social media.

If she left him off the list then she would be raciss.

During a recent episode on the “All the Smoke” podcast, Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss was asked who the five most important Lakers of all time are.

The general initially listed Lakers champions Kobe Bryant, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, LeBron James and Magic Johnson.

Players-wise:
Elgin Baylor
Jerry West
Wilt Chamberlain
Magic Johnson
Shaquille O'Neal

Extending that to Minneapolis: George Mikan

Extending that beyond players:
Dr. Buss
Pat Riley
Phil Jackson
Jerry West

I agree with Kobe's inclusion because he ultimately became the franchise's second face and ambassador after Magic so can't diminish that

True. But that doesn't mean that a troll's nonsense should go unanswered.

Kobe was an all-time player, but he is constantly overrated.

I think researching some political topic brought me here. There was fairly lively discussion on the PT board and the Music board and OT board had pretty good traffic so I created an account and stuck around. This is one of the few forums I've found where you can speak freely without the fear of being banned.
