I'm talking about what the Saints traded to acquire him in the draft

Their past few drafts have been pretty damn solid, and this trade obviously makes things even better.

Also consider that 1st round picks are more valuable now with the new CBA limiting the rookie salaries. This is an awful, awful move by Oakland. Palmer hasn't looked good for a few years now.

Very good point. They also have plenty of cap room and actually need to spend some money. This is a great way to do it.

I heart this trade. Thanks Oakland.

But neither did Plunkett.

Considering we are used to getting coal in our fricking stockings every Christmas, I'd say you are correct.

Wow and they gave up their third for Pryor...don't know what they gave up for Campbell. They've already spent at least 3 picks on QBs in this years draft and possibly another in 2013...desperate to win this season.

Wow nice job Bengals front office. You held out and struck gold with this trade. I never thought they could get more than a late round pick for him....

I figured that a third rounder would be stretching it, but two 1st round picks is terrible. Palmer hasn't practiced all year and has to come in and learn a new system in the middle of the year. This has disaster written all over it.

What the hell are they going to do with 4qb's when Campbell comes back(I know it'll be a while)?

Traded a 1st rd for Palmer
Used a 3rd for Pryor
Have Boller sitting there
Used I believe a 4th rd for Campbell

Presumably they'll be looking to trade one of their QBs to at least recoup some late round picks?

The Raiders are trying to recreate USC circa 2000 with Hue Jackson and Carson... bad times, bad times

The Chargers trade for Ryan Leaf was pretty bad but they made up for it by trading Mike Vick and Eli Manning later.
