Considering Trump won the popular vote it's almost as if you're wrong here

In hindsight, I bet that Drew Brees really regrets his little helmet tape stunt.

I know Brees catches a lot of shite for this, but didn’t the whole team wear the helmet tape during practice?

I tend to view this more as an American event than a political event, similar to the college basketball games played on aircraft carriers.

Politics is a cancer and a disease.

That’s strange. It is very clearly a political event.

From Dana White, himself:

"You can make anything political if you want to," White told the magazine when asked about UFC Freedom 250. "I love this country like anybody on the left loves this country. I love this country like anybody on the right loves this country. This is basically me spending a s------- of money to celebrate the 250th birthday of America, with America and the rest of the world."

It’s a cool event, either way, might as well enjoy it instead of being all ate up with politics.

I plan to

It looks trashier than I expected, but I don’t care in the long run

It’s just funny to see the hypocrisy of the “keep politics out of sports” people who are somehow excusing this.

Everybody is full of shite. It’s okay.

“Umm…ummm…umm” goddam dude, spit it out

Some of your young black teammates were not thrilled that you simped for a historically unpopular right wing president. This isn’t rocket surgery.

He’s not good enough for this to be a story, IMO.

It's ridiculous that he has to put a statement out because 1 douchebag on his team is such an emotional midget that he can't handle someone who has a different political opinion than him.

It was always going to go over like a lead balloon in a market like NY

Just objectively terrible decision making

It’s one thing if he did it and owned it and didn’t care, but he clearly is trying to placate everyone which never works

QB1 gotta be smarter than that.

Right. He and Carter both look weak.

I wonder how lib Giants fans fans are doing. They love fighting Shough / Dart debates on the internet.

We sucked last year and Shough wasn’t even playing yet and we made Dart look like a JUCO QB

They want him to stop running and stay healthy but running is the only thing that makes him viable as an NFL starter

Bad place to be! Sucks to (not have) Shough

He didn't make it a story, Carter did.

I enjoyed one of the comments from that video posted of his statement: "Rookie Mistake, instead of introducing President Trump he could have avoided all of this backlash and instead just beat up his girlfriend".

Yeah, the “athletes have the 1st amendment right to be political” crowd are currently melting down about an athlete introducing the sitting POTUS.

Wonder if the great environmental conservationist Teddy Roosevelt had half the country seething and foaming at the mouth when he hosted a boxing match at the WH.

Probably not, from everything I’ve read he was pretty beloved

Seems like it caused a rift within his team which pissed off the fan base.

Freedom of speech =/= freedom from consequences

You better have some skins on the wall if you’re gonna cause a stir. Dart doesn’t.

If it caused a riff Carter should be the one apologizing. It's honestly pathetic on his part. Of course that won't happen.

He doubled down today while Dart issued a squirrely 4 minute “ummm” explanation

Why do you think that is?

Because the locker room supported QB1? Or the opposite?
