“I’m a big NBA guy. This take probably won’t be very popular, but I would argue that Inside the NBA, the show that everybody loves, has done more damage to the NBA the last decade than anything."
“Forget about this ‘woke’ and left and right, but Inside the NBA goes on every week and just trashes players, trashes the style of play. You look at any other show, MLB Network, NFL Network, these shows, our network, we’re positive, we talk about the game. Inside the NBA, they just hammer the players. Charles Barkley’s on TV, the Rockets are in the Final Four for the NBA Cup, [it’s] ‘oh the Rockets don’t know how to play basketball, they stink, they don’t know what they’re doing.’ What are you doing? You’re damaging your product on a nightly basis, hammering it.”

So you want them to lie?
Posted on 12/17/24 at 7:44 pm to Kinderman
They trash the product because it sucks.
Posted on 12/17/24 at 7:47 pm to Kinderman
Inside the NBA is arguably the only great thing about the NBA in 2024.

Inside the NBA, especially Barkley sucks arse.

Inside the NBA is an elite sports show

“Jason McIntyre tries to become famous by attaching his name to a product that is far more popular than he will ever be.”

Maybe inside the nba is super popular bc they are the only ones who actually tell the truth

Not that they hammer it, but they’re too old and dont keep up with it…
What other sport is it acceptable to question one of the hosts and ask him “what team is he on?”

“Who He Play For??”
You think Big Papi knows the 4th outfielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates? Outside of the big names, regardless of the sport, the majority of the ex-players on TV do not keep up with player movement. At least they don’t pretend like they do.

Inside the NBA is the only NBA related thing I even occasionally watch just because it's funny to see Barkley shite on the current state of the league.

Possibly Inside The NBA's crowning achievement.

Inside the NBA is great for their non NBA content

I watch more of “Inside the NBA” than the actual games.

I’d say most broadcasters are only able to keep up with their home team. They get nice information packets for everything else.

Literally the only good thing about the NBA
Posted on 12/17/24 at 8:51 pm to WB504
Yes that’s exactly what he wants. McIntyre fits the narrative of alot of America right now. He wants to be coddled and not hear the truth. The truth is the NBA is garbge right now. The product is horrible and ratings are proof of that.
Posted on 12/17/24 at 8:53 pm to Kinderman
Seems like they are seeing what everyone else is seeing which is why the ratings suck. The ratings don't suck bc Inside The NBA is trashing the product, the ratings suck because the Product Sucks.
Posted on 12/17/24 at 8:57 pm to Kinderman
Everyone within NBA circles keep trying to make different excuses for why ratings are down. But there is only one primary reason. The style of play sucks arse now. Nobody wants to watch 60+ 3pt shots get shot up every game with mediocre defensive effort across the floor. The skill of the game is gone. Until NBA addresses this like baseball did the pitch clock they will continue to lose viewers.

If I could only memorize one player, I’d for damn sure know where Garrett Temple played. How many times has he burnt the Chuckster?
