So I looked up the criteria used for this ranking. As follows:
Key Criteria Used by the WBA:
1. Fight Record and Activity
• Wins and Losses: Especially against top-ranked opponents.
• Recent Activity: Fighters who are active (fighting every 6–12 months) are favored.
• Winning Streaks: A consistent run of wins improves ranking.
2. Quality of Opposition
• Beating highly ranked or credible opponents improves standing.
• Wins over former or current champions carry more weight.
3. Titles Held
• Holding regional, national, or international titles sanctioned by the WBA (like the WBA Continental, WBA Intercontinental, or WBA Gold) is a major factor.
• Past world titles from other organizations may be considered.
4. Level of Competition
• The strength of a fighter’s recent competition is considered more important than just a perfect record against weak opposition.
5. Performance
• Dominant or impressive performances can improve a fighter’s standing—even if it’s not a title fight.
• How a win is achieved (e.g., KO vs. decision) may be a factor.
6. Compliance and Professionalism
• Fighters and their teams must comply with WBA rules, including contracts, medicals, and anti-doping regulations.
• Failure to comply can result in demotion or removal.
7. Promotional and Managerial Influence
• Although not officially stated, politics and promotional power often influence rankings across all sanctioning bodies, including the WBA.
8. Geographic and Regional Representation
• The WBA often promotes diversity by considering fighters from underrepresented regions—especially those holding WBA regional titles.
Which of these has Jake Paul met?
Maybe just #7

I imagine Jake Paul would get crushed by a good pro
But he would beat the frick out of 99.9% of the world so so find it funny when message board heroes call him a coward
Guy was a very very very good wrestler plus he actually does know how to box

Boxing is a dying (mostly dead) sport. They need all the hype and attention they can get. Paul does that for them. Couldn’t even tell you who the current champs are. Fury?
Also Ngannou should’ve won his first bout a year or ago and it was a joke he didn’t. Boxing has to be the most tainted sport there is.

Will they let him pay people to not hit him, like with Tyson?

against any bunch old washed up hacks.
As opposed to the tomato cans other boxers fight on the come up?
It all comes down to if Jake Paul wants more money or to be a legit boxer. If he wants to be considered a legit boxer, he does one more money fight to avenge his loss to Tommy Fury and then maybe he turns to some ranked fighters.

So is he finally going to box a real boxer or continue to do these gimmick fights?

Will get destroyed against a legit boxer, his script fights were ridiculous!
Jake Paul is nothing more than the scripted crap that the WWE puts out and passes for professional wrestling.
The only fight he's lost was to an active, although limited professional boxer in Tommy Fury. Every other fight was against washed up old boxers and has been MMA fighters and boxing is a different discipline than what they do in MMA.
Paul would get destroyed if he meets up with even a fair journeyman boxer and has absolutely no chance against a decent seasoned pro.
I absolutely laughed when there was talk about him wanting to fight Canelo Alvarez. Canelo would do to him what Floyd Mayweather did to Connor McGregor and toy with him before KO'ing the guy.

I still laugh at the people that thought 80 year old tyson was going to beat him

Tyson put out a lot of videos of him shadowboxing and ripping off fast combinations for about 30 seconds and people thought he still had it. But 30 seconds don't make a fight and the first thing to go is usually the legs and conditioning with punching power hanging on for a long time, but you've got to be able to deliver those punches.
I'm sorry to see Manny Pacquaio coming back to fight at 46 and damn near 4 years retired. I can't imagine he needs the money with all the fights he's had and championships he's won over the years, but you never know how these athletes spend their money.
