Urban couldn't produce his witness that he claimed would exonerate him.

He 100% kicked Lambo and reaped what he sowed.

Urban Meyer being irresponsible and Jax owner setting him up are not mutually exclusive. Both events can exist. But since high moral people like you love to take an opportunity of an obvious joke and be outraged with a “some people are irresponsible” statement, implying that you yourself is a great responsible person. Fake virtues are easy to sniffed out these days.

Brah. Meyer is a sociopath. That's the long and short of it. The crux of the issue. He has no business being around grown arse men b/c he has no idea how to deal with and talk to grown arse men.

He was a sociopath doing sociopathic things. That's why he's out on his arse.

He was never cut out to be a pro coach.

Am I the only that thinks this guy is hitting the sauce? That video from the boat where he was obviously partying, staying behind in Columbus to go to the bar where he was obviously drunk and buttplugging a girl. He's always been a POS but he's just losing control

Urban doesn’t need any help with exposing himself as a low life.

I would not doubt it. Pretty reckless shite in public for a public figure. And kicking Lambo sounds like something someone on the sauce would do.

I guess the question is what is a good hire for you?
Every hire that the Jags have made since Tom Coughlin has bombed.

What is the hire that would've turned around their fortunes? An NFL OC or DC? A former NFL HC? They've done all of that with the same shitty results for almost 20 years now. At what point do they try something new?

I mean, you could tell this hiring was going to be a disaster, but wow.

Good. By all appearances Urban was playing a long con here. If you told me from the very beginning he just wanted to get fired and get a buyout, I couldn't prove you wrong. This bullshite needs to be nipped in the bud.

I can't get away from the Bobby Knight comparisons.

Granted, Knight never had an Aaron Hernandez type atrocity but...

the kicking a player in front of witnesses, the championships early in their careers, and the toxic culture they fostered? Neither accepted personal responsibility and both seemed to think the difference was their players and assistant coaches were losers

So Saban.

Is that what it takes to be a great college coach? A miserable player screaming hitting abusing sociopath? Pete Carroll seemed to adjust to both sports. I guess you have to start in the Pros. Can go from Pros to College but not vice-versa

Saban knew the drill in pro ball. Daunte Culpepper got nose to nose with him and called him a sawed off MF and he took it.

Doug Marrone had them awfully close to the super bowl that one year with Blake Bottles at QB

course their defense was something fierce that year so at least they had hit on some draft picks to build up that defense.

Saban isn't a sociopath. He actually has and has shown empathy. Remember right after the NCG game in January when he was pretty much in tears? Or at halftime in the Iron
Bowl when he laughed at Jamie Erdahl? A sociopath doesn't do those things. They are completely devoid of emotion.

And if the Dolphins had gone w/Saban's recommendation and gone w/Brees instead of Culpepper, he'd probably still be in the NFL.

Bad comparison is bad.

Saban has really shown his personal side this last year. His halftime exchanges are now pleasant and almost comical.
