Bill Simmons was worrying about this on his pod Tuesday. It could destroy the Celtics if they have to take IT back

Two days ago this was a trade rape against the Celtics. Now if it's reverse then the Celtics can't recover. I don't understand
Also IT only has 1 year on his contract. I was told that this was beneficial to the cavs because they were able to get a top pick without sacrificing the short term

This same hip injury ended Jonny Flynn's career, it is obviously very serious
I doubt Ainge had anything to do with the medical report, everyone knew IT was going to have a physical. More likely the Celtics talked to IT's doctors, they gave a favorable report and the Celtics ran with it. I doubt the celtics doctors even examined IT. There were no reports of the team doctors examining him. If they had and it was bad it would have leaked out. No way they would trade him knowing he couldn't pass a physical. The only party that could say his recovery is favorable is IT's camp because of his desire to get a max deal and they wouldn't want any doubts about his health
If the Celtics can't complete a trade this is bad on so many levels

Because Boston would now be without Kyrie, and would have a bum arse IT who wouldn't be worth a damn thing...?

This trade needs to go through. I don't want to stress about losing Jackson or Bender again

I don't see how this is that big of a deal. I thought it was pretty clear IT's health was a factor.i viewed Brooklyn's pick as baked in insurance. If IT is injured or walks after a year, then getting the potential No. 1 pick outweighs that.
If he needs a hip replacement and is out all year, then yeah, that may be a bit different

Kyrie must be in an awful emotional state.
How about boogie, and rondo and pels 2018 #1 for kyrie and tt.

Yeah - teams never knowingly trade damaged goods to other teams.

Celtics should pray this happens and deal is voided
they made a bad deal, especially when that Nets pick was involved.
danny ainge getting very little value for his assets

If you know beforehand Thomas is going to walk and you have no intentions of signing him, you wouldn't trade a potential Top 5 pick for one of the better guards in the game who happen to be in his prime?

That situation kind of proves my point that you really can't get away with it any more
