So now we are changing sports and people? Also we are discussing higher eschellon not some RB and QB
Bruh.

I'm simply explaining that it's possible to know how much a player cares about their fitness.

I see that you won't give me this point. That's fine, you're still my guy.

But I know you're purposely avoiding giving me this point.

OK so now it’s just a facet not overall care I’ll give you the fitness but you did say somebody cares more overall and you can’t

Nice job crawfishing your way out of a hole

You can’t again tell me how LeBron cares more than Bernard King David Robinson or Olajuwon

My b I thought the argument quantifying who cared more was the argument Reauxl was shitting on not vice versa, carry on

This answers my argument’s question.

My bad. I misread your question. There is NO doubt now. However there could be doubt when someone (like Lebron) finishes their career. MJ is undoubtably the GOAT at the moment. But if Lebron or AD wins 10 straight titles, there is doubt.

How do we know he is not just a god-given freak of nature on that front?

Or, if we are going to bring out physical outliers, like my pops says, there is usually a reason. See Johnson, Ben. See Armstrong, Lance. See Djokovic, Novak resurrecting his career after retiring from every major early and having asthma issues. See Nadal, Rafa coming back from multiple knee and other issues to run around like a jackrabbit for hours at a time while training with Spanish cyclist dopers. Let's not be naive.

Dude i can't tell if Alabama or LSU cares more about their first game in November.

But goddammit I can tell you that Lebron James would by hyper aware of what he needed to do to be his best...IN ANY ERA.

I can also tell you that Michael Jordan didn't maximize his potential in this area.

Michael Jordan is easily better than Nate Thurmond's bastard.

Look, you can use certain things to argue for Jordan, certain things to argue for LeBron.

The only bad thing about this thread is acting like it isn't debatable. There are statistics that LeBron beats MJ in and vice versa.

In the sleep and not smoking area.

Also the keeping his muscles maximized over time area.

Also continuing to be mentally strong over the years area.

MJ could have been better. He SHOULD have been better.

But like so many before and after him, he just didn't have the mind.

As a defensive player and hell maybe as the point man on offense in ways, Bill Russell was one of the first true technicians as a basketball player to him the game was a science, every defensive play he made was to facilitate a fast break or advantageous offensive position to score more points and he was so smart in defending, just exploiting his opponents' weaknesses and making the right decision was so so characteristic of Russell with the exception of that play in game 7 of the 65 East Finals but that was a fluke moment with the wires set up the way they were then and all that, believe me that was an outlier play in his career and luckily for him Havlicek STOLE THE BALL!

Jordan hungover made that game HIS BITCH

MJ's flu game is one of my favorite sports moments.

But you can bet there's a 100% chance if he did that today, he'd be absolutely blasted for how bad he was faking it. If that were in today's world, we would view that game almost 180 from the way we do now.

I think Jordan and lebron are both ultimate competitors. If lebron played in Mjs era o have a feeling ththeththey wouldve pushed each other to be better and of lebron was doing everything he could to enhance his body MJ would as well
