Since Tepper purchased the franchise 6 years ago, the team has yet to have a winning season. Tepper has fired three coaches, all mid-season. Their QB situation is a massive revolving door, they traded an insane amount to move up to #1 this year to draft a QB that was suspect at best.

You can't fire an owner, of course, but it seems like everyone he has hired is garbage.

Everyone below Tepper probably needs to be replaced. That entire organization is a mess. Maybe he needs to be more hands off and focus more on his distressed investing.

He might be. Thought they made a mistake firing Steve Wilks. Players liked him. Went 6-6 after Rhule got fired.

I know what is a problem. Him claiming not be impatient while firing his 3rd coach in what… 5 years. Two during the season.

It’s your team.. do what you want but own it instead of shitting in the bed and blaming it in the dog

Yes. He is way, way, way too meddlesome. The Panthers will never win anything as long as that clown owns the team. He acts like a 12 year old superfan running a franchise on Madden.

Jerry Richardson was one of the best owners in the league. It’s ridiculous that he was forced out.

Let the NFL suffer… they created this mess.

is this where fans say he meddles too much and in another thread the owner doesn't meddle enough?

No coach with any sense would want to work for Tepper. He has final say on everything. Problem is, he has FU money and some poor shmuck will see the dollar signs and take the bait.

At least Jerry Jones was lucky enough to play college football with Jimmy Johnson and got 2 Super Bowls and set up for a 3rd before completing taking over

If he’s the problem, what would be solved by firing everyone else?

Tepper demanded they trade up in last year’s draft, then got impatient while the front office was negotiating the best deal and demanded they get a deal done immediately.

Rumors are he also overruled their QB evaluations leading up to the draft.

The Panthers should have had five picks in the first 80 selections in last year’s draft. Because of Tepper’s meddling, they only had three, and used one to draft a WR to replace DJ Moore who they traded as part of their deal to move up.

Those five early picks could have improved the team significantly.

He has been an abomination since he took over the team:

1. Botched development of a practice facility/complex across the border in SC that was halted halfway through construction;
2. Removed grass playing surface that was voted a top-5 surface by players nearly every year in the league;
3. Renovated the stadium to accommodate an MLS team;
4. Generally being shite as an owner in regards to football.

I always liked the Panthers (from the area), but quit following them after they forced Richardson out. Tepper always rubbed me a bit wrong.

Jerry is good at talent acquisition. Tepper is just a dude always a week away from his next hissyfit.

There was a reason why when he was a minority owner of the Steelers that the Rooneys kept him as far away from Latrobe/team ops as possible.

They knew it then.
