It’s an endeavor not a sport. I love it though

Feel like an argument could be make for a few.

Bull riding, rugby, mma, etc all are extremely brutal.

I used to say no but I went to a PBR stockyard showcase a few months back and now I’m a solid yes on this. Those guys are some tough sob’s. You don’t get an appreciation of these guys getting flown off until you witness it in person and up close n personal. There were a lot of guys from Brazil just trying to make a name for themselves and riding like it too

No. Rugby is football without pads. Mma imo no different than boxing. You get your arse beat but you can fight again.

Bull riding can end your life. And if you want to be the best you have to take that chance a hundred times. You'll never die in an Mma fight.

I was watching one day, announcer said, “it’s a simple sport, just hold on and keep your free hand off the bull.”

Uh, I’ll pass.

Hemingway once said "There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely games."

I think bullriding is right there with bullfighting.

My dad was a pro rodeo clown. It’s a different life style. Definitely not for puffs. Even though my dad was an alcoholic, and a true nomadic cowboy, I respected his life. He lived fast and hard and would have slapped the devil in the face. He clowned his last PRCA rodeo at 47 years old. Died at 57. Having been around the bull riding and rodeo atmosphere…..I’d say bull riding is the most dangerous and toughest SPORT there is.

He asked about toughest, not most dangerous. If you go that route Equestrian, specifically cross country, is dangerous given people do die while participating. Is it tough? No. Base Jumping is extremely dangerous, but you dont have to be tough to do it.

I don't know why... But I really want to go to Frontier Days in Cheyenne some day. No desire to ride a horse much less a bull. But I think it would cool see

I have heard quite a few people convincingly argue that motocross is the toughest sport from both physical demands and chance of injury. Either way, I couldn't imagine what bull riding and motocross do to your back. Oof.

I was out there for it in 2006. Was a really cool event. A lot of stuff other than just the rodeo, but the rodeo was fun. In the mornings before the events you can walk down behind the arena to where they keep the bucking horses and bulls penned up. Even separated by a pretty stout fence, you can tell those bulls aren't something to screw around with.
