He was one of the best Linebackers in the SEC while at Mizzou, but he has balled out the two years he's been a Chief. Guy has a Super Bowl work ethic, is well spoken, and made one of the biggest plays in Super Bowl 57. Chiefs killing it with the last two drafts.

If you're including rush linebackers zero chance.

As far as Mike LBers go, probably so.

No, maybe top 30

He didn’t make that play

Hurts fumbled for no reason. Bolton just happened to be the guy there to pick the ball up.

Similar to Mahomes just happening to be the talented QB that was drafted to a 12-4 football team w Reid, Kelce, and Hill.

Legacy built upon being at the right place at the right time.

What does Mahomes career look like if he was the best QB in college football and was drafted number 1 to a terrible team instead of number 10 to a team that traded up a dozen spots to get him?

What does Bolton’s resume look like if another random linebacker picked up that fumble 2 nights ago?

It may not be where it is now, but are you telling me that you really believe that Mahomes wouldn't have been able to turn a franchise like the Bears around (first team to draft a QB with the #2 pick that year)? The same team that Tribuisky had as the 3 seed by 2018, 1 game from being the #1 seed?

I put a few bets on the game, one of which I wanted to be a long-shot MVP bet, so I picked Bolton at 100:1. I was losing my mind as that second scoop n score unfolded (before being nullified)

I’d been a fan of his ever since he tore it up at Mizzou, and with the Eagles read-option game, I figured he could be in the mix for some turnovers and clutch stops. Once the score got high enough it was ways gonna be Hurts or Mahomes, but I definitely got my money’s worth of entertainment out of that bet.

The issue is, KC King would be making the exact same thread if Willie Gay was the random LB to pick up that fumble. Or if it was George K or Trent M. He’d be talking about them and saying they are a top 3 DE or corner in the league.

He’s simply a homer that is a prisoner of circumstance. No real analysis or thought coming from his brain other than being a diehard KC fan that hypes up dime of dozen guys.

That may be his MO (I’m not familiar), but Bolton has been a favorite of mine for a few years, and he played well on Sunday even without the TD.

Is he a top 3 LB? No. Top 3 MLB? No, and I’m not even sure his ceiling can reach that high. But he was damn good this year (second in the league in tackles) and I enjoy seeing a thread discussing his success.

Second in the league in tackles this year. Should have been named All-Pro. Also made the tackle on third down during that 17 play drive by the Eagles that only led to a field goal and kept it a one score game. It wasn't just a matter of tackling him short of the first down marker. It was a matter of tackling him short of the Eagles going for it and ramming another quarterback rugby scrum sneak down the Chiefs throat on fourth down marker.
