That is a conversation that will never happen. First the Steelers do not fire coaches. They have had 3 head coaches since 1969. Also the Steelers are the most woke organization in the NFL, no way they fire black man with his track record no matter how bad the wheels might come off.

This. It’s so wild that the Steelers have had a grand total of 3 head coaches in the last 56 years, especially when other teams are shitcanning coaches every second or third year it seems.

Had a huge game last night and looked on point despite the shite tier receivers they have. His best receivers are DK and some average TEs

15 or so years is about the shelf life for an NFL head coach. Noll’s downfall happened once Bradshaw was gone and his record shows it. Cowher learned from Noll’s mistake. Granted, Cowher didn’t have his QB until his last couple of seasons, but he got his SB and left the franchise in great shape after 15 years. Tomlin should have hung it up or moved on once Ben retired but he just wants to pad that win total with 9-10 wins every season for his own ego.

It must be a PA thing, Penn State has only had 3 since 1966. And the guy before Paterno was there for 16 seasons.

He's tied for the league lead with 14 TD's and 8th in QB rating despite having no WR's behind DK (hence why they are actively seeking a WR via trade). They'd be screwed without him.

I think Tomlin will play out his contract and it will be done then. He will want a new challenge. The Steelers always stubbornly honor the contracts for coaches. Tomlins loyalty is his issue. The oline coach and DC should not be there.

I think I finally figured it out…. Ricky Bobby ruined sports for America

The saying ‘if you’re not first, you’re last’ has completely warped the expectations of fans. It’s insane at times how spoiled some people are

In also convinced that people don’t watch games anymore and just let stereotypes and cliches run their opinions on sports

I’d rather my team be arse for a few years and then truly compete than win 9 games a year and never be a contender

1. Team never sucks, as you said
2. Works for the Steelers who have literally never fired a coach
3.

He’s safe

Yall are too focused on this years results through 6 games of a weak schedule.

The franchise has direction going forward. They’re on year 4 post Big Ben (with a couple of year lead in) and have done nothing at qb. I guess they drafted Picket, who has no success in college either.

This edition may back in to the playoffs with a burrowless Bengals and disappointing Ravens season at 9-8 or 10-7, but they’re a very average football team

Same with Iowa.

Maybe it has something to do with the black and yellow uniforms?

I saw a clip of Harry Douglas talking about how the Steelers played a majority man coverage last night. I don't care who you have in the secondary, that's playing with fire especially considering how well Flacco played in the previous game.

Plus it's hard to oversell how important TJ has been to the defense over the years and he hasn't looked the same in the games I've watched this year and without pressure there's no way defensive backs can cover those wideouts one on one.

So what they’ve done for the last several years should just be accepted?

Steelers QBs since Roethlisberger:
Mason Rudolph
Kenny Pickett
Mitch Trubisky
Russel Wilson
Justin Fields
Aaron Rodgers

That's not great.

I don't know how much input Tomlin has on personnel, but nobody is winning much with that group.

Rodgers has been decent so far this season, though. I think the Steelers will be in the playoff hunt.
