After his games against the Steelers, I really wanted them to grab him when he hit free agency. The Steelers decided to draft Kenny Pickett and then go on the "almost in retirement" carrousel of QBs instead. Good times.

Better than most think but not top 5. He’s a worker and a gamer. An actual guy who developed and is a totally different player than when he started.

Baker went from being one of the most hated QBs to the most liked QBs due to the Browns being idiots. Dude obviously competed injured and was shown the door.

Who hated him other than racist talking heads and their simps?
He was a dude coming out of Oklahoma and he’s still a dude.

Always liked Baker, a true pro. Doesn’t hurt that he is going to have the best WR room in the league when Godwin comes back. He’s easily top 10.

Yes he’s led the league in TDs since going to Tampa. Now I admit he is a gun slinger type who throws more interceptions than most of the top 5 guys but I think he’s a legit MVP candidate and has a good shot at 40+ TDs for the second year in a row.

100%
Baker fricking rules.

Never forget that the Browns blew up their franchise because a gay receiver that the Giants wanted no part of and who they wound up cutting halfway through the season and is now out of the league said their QB play was the reason why he wasn’t producing.
Then, after being released by the Browns, the "gay receiver" was on pace to be super bowl MVP before suffering what was ultimately a career ending injury.
Not the Browns fault that Baker had, by far, the best season of his career at 29. Before that he was a pretty mediocre quarterback despite having solid weapons in Cleveland.

Yes, in fact on my Top 10 list that I dropped before the season I accurately placed Baker at 5 and left Casual Favorites Mahomes and Hurts off of the list. Glad to see that this board is catching up.

Goff's omission from that graphic is interesting. Fairly certain he has better numbers than Mayfield across the board.

I'm not trying to shite on Baker, but we can't ignore that he has, by far, the best supporting cast in the league these last few years.
Burrow has great top end WR but the rest have been disappointing. His O-line is abysmal. He's got a decent RB.
Mahomes hasn't looked great, but his WR room has been pretty meh since Hill left.
Allen has zero on the outside, especially since Diggs went down, but has some help in the TE room and RB1.
Lamar has a great OL and RB. WR are alright.
Baker has had multiple WR1 type guys, two good RB, a very good OL, and serviceable TE. He's also been in the worst division in football since arriving in TB.

I’m thinking there’s right now a solidified Top 4 of
Allen
Burrow
Herbert
Jackson
(Alphabetical order)
Then from here, we’re having the discussion between:
Goff
Hurts
Mahomes (can’t believe I’m putting him here already)
Mayfield
Stafford
At least that’s what it seems like, not just taking in the first two weeks of this season, but considering 2023 & 2024 as well, and how these guys have been trending from ‘23-‘25.
