I'm tired of Howard too but him wanting to leave the Lakers isn't that douchey, IMO

Would love this

quote:

Foster: Atlanta. You can always go back home. The spotlight is a little dimmer in Atlanta, but maybe Howard would benefit from a decrease in scrutiny and pressure. Of course, it doesn't hurt that Al Horford is the perfect frontcourt mate for Howard, or that there isn't a bad contract on the roster. If Howard wants a clean slate, there is no better option out there.

I'm so sick and tired of Dwight Howard. He is the biggest baby back biyatch out there. He will be a cancer to any team he goes to.

Pretty much. Dude is a pussy and didn't like Kobe pushing him. Don't really GAF where he goes anymore.

I had to laugh this morning listening to Dwight's official ESPN spokesperson Chris Broussard say that if the Lakers fired D'Antoni Dwight MIGHT re-sign with the Lakers

If I were Dwight, I would be the same way.

I would too. That worked out great for the Magic. Fire a very good coach because Howard didn't like hard practices, then watch Howard leave and downgrade in the coaching department.

And I'm not saying D'Antoni is as good of a coach as Van Gundy was. Just saying making that decision due to Howard is dumb.

I think he's a bad fit for any playoff team that plays high pressure games. Orlando was probably a good place for him.

Well he proved you wrong in the 2009 ECF when he scored 41 in game 6 to get them to the finals, but proved you right when he missed two free throws that would have tied the series in game 4. (A series the Magic were two plays away from being up 3-1)

Lakers are a mess, and it starts with Dr Buss' idiot children running the team. Dwight didn't fit the system, but most importantly, he didn't gel with the team. I'm sure Kobe hurt Dwight's feelings on multiple occasions, but Dwight couldn't get along with Nash and Pau, who are two of the most selfless players in the league.

- Lakers are old
- Buss family is a disaster
- Coach sucks
- Best player is coming off a bad injury
- Best young asset is leaving town

Would the Lakers not demand Asik if they could pull of a sign and trade with Houston?

If they lose Howard, they probably will be content to suck this year and go into 2014 with $50m in cap space and one of the most desirable markets (for players) in the league.

If they lose Howard, then this might be their best option.

Dwight just wants to go somewhere where he can giggle on the court and not be yelled at.

Well put. He has the emotional maturity of a 10 year old boy.

No way Lakers make the playoffs next year with current roster minus Dwight and Kobe coming off this injury. Bright side: They may be so bad that they're in the running for #1 Pick/ Andrew Wiggins.

Dave McMenamin: Lakers contingency plan if Dwight doesn't return, Lakers may look to make a trade with Golden State instead. They could get some young pieces (Bogut and Thompson or Barnes?). But don't be surprised if the Lakers just let Dwight walk.

Remember, Golden State was in the middle of Dwightmare last summer and Howard was interested. That would be a great deal for the Lakers if Howard truly is going to walk.
