Xavier Thomas, #3 recruit in 2018, who has already owned 3 cars since signing with Clemson, now has a brand new house. His dad, a super felon, fresh off prison and selling his power washing business to a Clemson booster, was able to buy this home.

Gee how does that happen? @NCAA

But like, didn't they recruit outside of the top 5-10 until this year?

NewSpring Church.

It’s one thing if you have boosters giving recruits cars and cash - that is nothing unheard of and has been going on for decades. Funneling that through a megachurch and use it as a shield to cover it just shows what kind of people they are up there.

This is a new one. At least Clemson is getting creative.

As I posted on the SECR a couple of days ago.

From current Clemson LB Isaiah Simmons:

quote:

“I don’t think we should be paid like the pros, obviously. But a lot of people struggle in college. You see the really nice contracts from the coaches and it’s like, ‘Dang, it would be nice if we could get paid a little bit more, at least off our likeness.’ I feel like that’s the only fair way to do it, because you have to work for what you earn. That’s really the only fair way.”

In 2015 another Clemson player admits to having more money at Clemson than he has ever had.

The damning part is every fan base at least admits they cheat - whether it leads to on field success or not. Ask a Clemson fan and they'll swear it's all above board. As if Dabo's praying is somehow persuading these 5* recruits to go to nowhere South Carolina over going to some other school that is offering large wads of cash.

Im not defending Clemson in any way, but you do realize that players do get paid right? They get stipends and cash other legal ways.

Will be interesting to see if the NCAA considers Clemson enough of a blue blood now to not perform a public colonoscopy on them.

I suspect they'll give them the Oregon and Miami treatment at worst.

Churches have been laundries for paying players for years.
