That team has an edge that the early Saban teams had, just ruthlessly efficient and bludgeon you to death

Until Indiana goes 16-0. Then the 2019 LSU team will, at best, be the 2nd best team of all time.

No. If Indiana goes undefeated, unlikely, they will be the best team ever. Period. No one ever played as tough a schedule as Indiana, or for that matter, anyone who goes 16-0.

No and thats just looking at it from a statistical standpoint. LSU scored more points against similar or better defenses 37 (#1), 42(#3), 42(#7) than Indiana 13(#1), 20(#6), 30(#10), played better offenses Bama, OU, Clemson, Texas that year amongst others and was still top 35 not to mention absolutely killing it once they finally got healthy. Beat 7 top 10 teams, preseason top 4, beat Bama at Bama and I could go on. Not to mention having the highest scoring offense of all time and a team that never trailed in the fourth. Indiana is a great team and story but they are not as dominant against arguably weaker overall competition talent wise and their SOS is weaker by about 30-40 spots.

You mean the ones Cig was WR coach and recruiting coordinator for?

Seems to be a common factor there...

I keep thinking the lack of Jimmy's and Joe's will be their undoing and they keep winning. Really seems like a team of destiny at this point.

Needing a miracle to beat an awful Penn State squad is disqualifying

Needing refs to beat a mid Auburn team at home must be disqualifying too.

That Auburn team was ranked #9 and the game had absolutely terrible field conditions. They arent comparable.

lol? Miracle? Is that what you call the catch of the season with time and a down to spare?

Penn state is a loaded roster who had a down year. Nation semifinalist last year. Went 7-6 and beat Clemson in their bowl. Not some close game against South Carolina here.
