With each successive post you look more and more ignorant. Please keep going. At this rate, by this afternoon you'll be trying to convince us that 2+2=5 and that the world is flat.
John Curtis does not give out scholarships and not every black kid is underprivileged and poor. You look at things through such a small town myopia. Maybe learn how the world works a little bit and stop making things up or ignoring the inconvenient facts that disagree with you and people may take you more seriously.

You are obviously an idiot, but I love calling idiots out. Do you have any idea how expensive it is to run a school? Do you realize that after Katrina Curtis was the first school back open because the family personally went back to rebuild the school? It's not even feasible to have a third of a school not pay. But even then, with the amount of work the family puts in, they definitely want to teach kids that hardwork, not handouts, is how you get ahead. That girl from Winnfield is all about handouts.

I am kind of at a loss as to why all the private school guys are so pissed. You had your run at it and the majority voted you out because you fricking cheat like hell. Deal with it. It's your ball, take it and go home if you want. Everyone else doesn't really care. You sit here and want us to take you seriously and have a discussion about the situation but won't even admit that private schools recruit players from across the state. Whatever. I don't really have a horse in this race, but damn you frickers are some sore losers. You should like do something about it instead of whining. Whether you care or not, the new system is in the least more fair that what they had before. But I'm sure I'll just hear the same retorts that public schools recruit and John Curtis doesn't give schollies, prove it and all the other bull shite. I wonder how much money Joe McKnight's family paid JC in total, or Warrick Dunn's famiily to Catholic or hell even Jeremy Hill's family to Redemptorist. I am sure they paid all the school bills in full with just family money. It was a long time coming. You held it at bay for a very long time with some fancy finagling at the LHSAA of how private teams played up or down, but this was inevitable. I am just surprised you guys are so damn bitter about it. Seriously, just go start your own association. It's what you want to do anyway. Reply • Options • Back to Top • Refresh
Wow. Cheat?? What rule has been broken by private schools?? And mr holier than thou public schools recruit all the time. It seems like youre the bitter one here. Yall want to blow up the entire system because of 2 schools, makes sense

Now that I read your second post I realize you are just a racist. Blacks can't afford school? And more blacks showing up each year? Are you that stupid? Do you know the demographics of New Orleans?
Posted on 11/14/13 at 6:31 am to extremetigerfanatic
You obviously have a horse in this race considering you call out private schools for cheating when it is almost always public schools getting caught. I hope when the split happens the charter and magnet schools dominate yall because your tears are so sweet.

I dont see why private schools are making such a big fuss about this. I always wondered how it was fair for public schools to have a team like st.. Louis catholic in their division in soccer. Seriously, they've won state almost every year out of the last 15 years. I hope this rule transitions to other sports

This guy sounds awfully butt hurt that JCCS undressed his school a couple years back. Maybe we should say what's really the difference between the two programs, JT Curtis is one of the greatest HS coaches of all times in La and the Patriots put in double the work of teams like Winnfield.

Yeah this shite is absurd. There are plenty of select schools that get blasted by public schools on an annual basis. There are just as many public offenders as their are private offenders to the recruiting violations.
When I was in school, Parkview Baptist ended my season in the playoffs 3 out of 4 years (not football). I went to a catholic private school. I propose we split catholic schools and baptist/non-denomination schools since they have an unfair advantage.
Also, some of the worst "recruiting" I ever witnessed occurred by the three public schools in my hometown. Seriously, half of the football teams lived at grandma's so they could attend a specific school.
All that needed to be done was a strict enforce, net of the rules. Plain and simple.

First of all Curtis never played 5a. Correct but the talk of them doing so started all of this and created the play in class.
Owl I greatly respect your opinion but oberlin is a bad example to compare to Jesuit. All football playing schools should get same vote.
The problem many had with the vote was the fact that non football schools voted on a football only issue. Which is what sent the measure over the top. And many that voted for it would not do so again.
Other schools give out more $ in free tuition than Curtis and eCA. They just don't win .....yet

West Monroe
Barbe
Acadiana
Curtis
Evangel
U-High
Ouachita
Destrehan
Dutchtown

You're applying what you "believe" happens in Lafayette, LC, Ascension, the River Parishes, etc. in South Louisiana to North Louisiana, and that does not happen. Many of the 2A and 3A schools up there are literally the only game in town. Maybe even the only game in the parish. The next-closest school is 30 minutes away or one parish over, not on the other side of the main drag in town. These schools can't even compete with the Parkviews and Notre Dames of the world, much less the John Curtis and Evangels. They get a once in a generation player or team at they school and they draw Curtis in the quarterfinals and they're fricked.
The lower levels should be split. 5A? Not so much. Almost everybody "cheats" up there and let Natural Selection sort it out.

I think I finally found who put the sand in her vagina.
It's so sad that mean army of 100 took a trophy from your dream team. Welcome to the world many have lived in a lot more than the ONE year your team was decent, coach. Maybe you'll be able to get your shiny trophy this year after all the decent teams got gerrymandered out of your way.
I don't know squat about your school, but I will be when your team gets eliminated and has to find some other reason to whine.

Here is the big issue: why should private schools fund the public schools if they can't even play them in the playoffs?
Look publics in North LA, we get it, you guys are a bit different than the South LA ones, but you guys will see what we are complaining about when you have to organize the South LA public schools when the privates bolt. Right now, the South LA public schools are miserable and yet the private schools have to suffer through district play where they bring nobody, usually are disorganized, etc. Let the private schools just be their own league and let the North LA publics deal with the headaches the private schools deal with. Take your medicine and enjoy it.

Maybe schools should get votes based on enrollment... Rummel gets 5 votes, Mc Main gets 3, and West St. John gets 1... What you're proposing is like ull and ulm canceling lsu and alabama's votes. I just don't like the idea of the small schools controlling the big, but I can understand why you wouldn't like the opposite
Posted on 11/14/13 at 7:47 am to GhostofJackson
Yeah, they should have come to our game at Glen Oaks. If they had 20% as many fans there as we did, I'd be shocked. The non-football schools got conned, and never should have been allowed to vote on the measure in the first place, as they had no skin in the game.

Some of those schools would choose to not play in the open division. It's a fact that some of the private schools purposely limit their enrollment so that they can play in lower classifications. Not all, but some.

Ridiculous. So in this pathetic excuse for a "playoff", in some divisions teams can be WAY below .500 or never even win a game and make it into the playoffs? How in gods name is that better than certain schoosl dealing with the fact that this isn't kindergarten and everyone doesn't get a trophy? Instead you are gonna have insane blowout games in the first few "rounds" of this shite show, exposing kids to injuries that never should have happened.
