I’m pretty excited about this Robert Sarver thing

Word is he’s livid at the punishment. The players are already overplaying their hand calling for a lifetime ban. Silver is maxed out with the punishment he meted out. Forcibly taking the team is on the owners now a la the Sterling situation, but Sarver doesn’t have near the historical record Sterling had.
Sarver is going to fight this tooth and nail, the players are going to revolt, and it’s going to be beautiful to watch.
Most of the league’s owners, er, governors, have said and done the shite Sarver has so they’re not going to want to set the precedent amongst themselves.

Didn’t Sterling also have Alzheimer’s so there was a legitimate mental fitness question? I thought I remember him being diagnosed right around the same time and not being allowed to manage his family trust. Seems like a whole different situation
The other owners going down that road is just poorly protecting their asset no matter what you think about it. It sets a terrible precedent for all of them.

Silver absolutely has no authority to force Sarver to sell. Now, he can ban Sarver indefinitely, or basically forever. But Sarver can own the team as long as he wants. That being said, I think the pressure, especially from sponsors, is all about to rain down on him to the point it won't be worth it, and he does sell. But again, they simply cannot force him to sell.
With Sterling, the NBA did not technically force him to sell. His wife had him deemed not mentally fit to make decisions for the organization, and she was placed in charge. She then willingly sold the team, so it was basically a workaround, but again, the NBA could not force Sterling to sell.

This one just requires patience and business sense. NBA players union can say what they want, but the owners will not agree to the ban proposal. That’s a precedent they would never set.
The players will play. Worst case is you hold money from the ones that don’t and you end up getting a higher draft pick for the season, until it blows over. They are already a talented team. Not a likely scenario, i general.
If PayPal pulls the $3MM jersey sponsorship, there are many companies that will see the value and sign up for that.
Patience in these political sports issues will prevail. I would love to be in the ownership position to play this out though I don’t think I would be dumb enough to put myself there.

Did I miss irrefutable evidence, including a video, or indistinguishable voice recording of the acts you mentioned?
I def could have, I try to refrain from the league’s media, players, front offices as a whole since they are direct collaborators with the CCP and prioritize profits over facts and making any actual change i society.
I legitimately would sleep better at night if every person with a single stake in the NBA got Thanos snapped.
