Clippers getting Morris instead of the Lakers was also huge.
I mean he’s ok but it’s not like Marcus Morris is anything special. Putting up decent numbers on the Knicks didn’t all of sudden make him some player who changes the dynamic of the playoff picture. And his whining about Crowder playing hard at the end of the game, showed he’s a fake tough guy—closer to a big baby than a though guy.

Lakers needed one more legit ball handler or toughness player at the trade deadline and did not get it and I think they lose in 7 in WCF.
What is with this over-analysis of trade deadline deals? A team 4 games ahead of any other team at the all-star break, with 2 of the best players in the league, isn’t a single-role, role player away from winning the conference or any other outcome in general.

Weren't the Clippers supposed to be the team to beat in the West? I saw that constantly on this site yet... it appears the Clippers are in 3rd place in the West and have 6 more losses than the Lakers. Surely this can't be true?

The team Kawhi played for last season beat two #1 seeds en route to winning the title.

Throwing all those eggs in that #1 seed basket..what could go wrong!!

The Lakers not having to travel at all for that series would actually help the Lakers.

All will be home games, but more importantly, no travel fatigue for Lebron, allowing more rest

The price was too high for the Lakers. They are already thinnest in the backcourt, and trading Green for Morris wouldn't have helped at all.

The Lakers need to convince Collison to sign up and/or have AD and LeBron go playoff mode in a series and it will be a good one vs the Clips. Neither Kawhi or PG is as good as LeBron's best, IMO.

Average? In your previous post, you said he melted both times.

He has been below average. He is shooting .372, and only .333 in a single Toronto game is lower for opponents.

That could be that the Clips have good defenders (they do), that his shooting was off (it was) or a combination. I tend towards a combination.

people assume the Clippers and Lakers will even meet in the playoffs. Rockets Clippers will be an interesting series.

They prob gonna meet in rd 2 Houston has the like 4-5th easiest schedule. They won’t lose but 4 maybe 5 games after the break.

I can get to Houston easily whenever I need to. I can’t see any of the teams this year beating harden tho. Let’s be honest he would have back to back if it weren’t for GOAT. And there is no roster out there this year that is even close to what golden state had.

raps had a better record last year when kawhi was out And they are better this year than they were last year when he played. There has never been a “best player in the league” whose team is better without them. The year before he left San Antonio the spurs D was better when he was off the court than on. Kawhi is nice, but best player in the league is an utter joke
A rare gem by boom.

Ehh, in the series you posted that gif from, LeBron went for 29 per game on 57% shooting and 51% from 3.

Don't get me wrong, Kawhi is good, and LeBron is one of the few guys you can claim you defended well when he puts up stats like that. But LeBron being scared of Kawhi is just your fantasy.
