So, draft one. Don't wreck your franchise by tying up an inordinate amount of your cap space in one asset.

Remember, this is the same franchise that traded away a king's ransom to the dolphins to move up and draft Lance Bust a few years ago. At least they did the right thing that year, according to the media. LOLOLOL

Shanahan is also the biggest choke artist in the history of the league and is just getting worse. Early season choke jobs fall squarely on him.
You’re not going to get disagreement from a fellow faithful on this being reality

But the guy knows QBs and the number (and diversity) he’s been successful with is insane. I can’t really question him at the position

How do you know any of this when you cry to the heavens about the NFL and claim you never watch it?

You do realize there are game summaries and scores that are published the next day, right?

I didn't watch last night's game, but looked at the box score today because I have two fantasy players in the playoffs. There is also an "analytics" chart that is supplied to each game too. Two minutes looking at both those items will tell you all you need to know about the game.

He may be the litmus test on paying good, not great QBs large amounts. I could see San Fran trading him for a upper tier pick.

Lance Heard says hello.

Chokehan's problem isn't the QBs. His problem is not running the ball consistently when he should. That's why he chokes away so many games. It is hilarious and predictable all at the same time.

I love those analytics charts in the box scores. Several this year had SF at nearly 100% to win a game until the last minute. All I had to do then is go to the "play" screen, click 4Q, and see that he did, in fact, call several pass plays that were incomplete instead of making the opponent stop the run and use time outs. Dude will never learn. Square peg, round hole. Repeat. Expect different results. Repeat. LOLOLOL

Funny that someone who swears off the league as woke or rigged or whatever it is that you like to comment on, still plays fantasy for that same league. And why if it’s so bad and you refuse to watch games, would you even be concerned with game summaries? If you’re full of shite, just admit you’re full of shite.

Reminds me of the peak NFL culture war day arguments that went like

“I don’t watch espn but my dog tripped on the remote and somehow installed, paid for and began streaming first take yesterday and so I happened to watch and here are my thoughts…..”

Like big dawg if you are pulling up box scores after the game, you’re a bigger NFL fan than 60 percent of their TV audience

It's always the ones.who complain the loudest publically who do the exact opposite. That is the case here.

Classic case of doth protest too much.

Still waiting on that long list of max contract QBs (you just HAVE to pay them!) who have won SBs...

They're haven't been any, but the bigger point is that you can't win w/o a franchise QB, no matter how much he's paid

I mean, I'm almost 50. I grew up reading box scores for games when we only had like three channels to watch. If you play fantasy, that is a quick way to see how your players did and takes a whole minute to process.

This isn't some huge gotcha at all.

I wouldn't pay him in the new standard of more money than then last QB got.

But if he would take $30 million I'd be in.

1. Get the 4th or 5th or later QB taken in a draft (as they'll never be picking early with this roster unless they pull another Lance-esque deal)

They are slotted to pick 17th as of now. They go to Miami and play a hot Dolphins team, Detroit at home, and finish at Arizona who they already lost to at home. They likely go 1-2 in that stretch and end picking top 15.

Even without trading up, they would like get the 3rd-4th QB off the board, granted, in a very weak draft for QB's. Tough call, but I would take the best rookie QB available at 12-15

QB contracts have become like max NBA contracts. There are only four quarterbacks who actually deserve $50 million AAV contracts (Mahomes, Lamar, Allen, Burrow)

You're arguing for why we shouldn't have max contracts in the NBA

Max contracts underpay the top talent, which is why so many players deserve them (more money at the top to split among a bigger population of players).
