yeah but these 2, and other teams like them, would be hurt by not being able to cherry pick high profile recruits out of nearby states.

No more Jamarcus, no more Stafford, no more Terrance Tolliver, no more Moreno.

It would be Texas, USC, or one of the Florida schools IMO

Texas, for sure. Their entire roster is basically from Texas already, and with in-state only recruiting rules, all the other elite prospects they lose to Oklahoma would now go there.

this argument sucks an enormous amount of cock. you picked like five players and then didnt name any of the impact players from texas, usc, or florida that wouldnt have been there under these circumstances. well done.

im not arguing it wouldnt be one of the schools you said, but your argument was pretty poor.

texas losing elite talent to oklahoma (or any other school) is like less than 5% chance----- nothing would change there.

Ohio State would do well for itself, too, of course. Traditional powers like Oklahoma, Notre Dame, and Michigan would never compete again. And Boise State would fade back into irrelevance.

well he picked 2 QBs who went to LSU and UGA respectively

LA doesn't really produce top QBs. i don't think GA does that often either

Texas, and California have plenty enough of 2nd tier talent and guys that go OOS that now have to stay instate, to more than make up for the loss of such players. I don't believe Georgia, Louisiana does.

I know LSU outside of the occasional Joe Mcknight locks down all the big playmakers and they still have to go OOS. So LSU needs more of those OOS 4* and 5*. Maybe UGA is different, but I doubt it.

I wonder what an all LA Native college football team would look like from guys who were on CFB rosters in the most recent season.

Whoever had the best recruiting coach in Florida, then add Texas, and USC.

Those three would have to be the top imo.

Oklahoma currently has 48 players from Texas. They have more players from there than they do their own state. Texas loses out on elite Texas prospects to OU all the time. If the Sooners were out of the picture (because they couldn't take guys from Texas), virtually all those guys would become Longhorns.

Not to mention many other schools raid Texas, as well.

who would win the first national title?
USC, Florida, or Texas. Mainly due to the high number of quality athletes from those states and many of those that choose to go out of state currently. Also, provided those schools continue to out recruit the other schools within their state.

LSU would fair well, but quality and depth at certain positions would hurt. For example: QB.

Fine

Put it this way then, I know LSU brings in more OOS talent than it losses it in-state almost every year. For example would it have been worth it in 09 for LSU to get Janzen and Lacy but lose Shep, Loston, and Montgomery? I say no. So net gain IMO, but if LSU can't go out of state = net loss.

UGA might be different, maybe your team doesn't have as good a control of your state as LSU does in La.

Is Mark Richt coaching UGA? If not, you have to throw them in the mix. Georgia produces a ridiculous amount of talent. Although, they have had to go out of state for their last few QB's.

no they do not.

if texas offers a kid from texas there is a 95% chance he is going to go to texas. just because oklahoma has players from texas does not mean the longhorns offered the player(OBVIOUSLY).

for example, the top two WRs in the state of texas never received offers from the longhorns this year so they signed with the sooners.

not by me, but I'm not a recruitnik. By looking at Rivals though your team does a shitty job at getting Georgia players it seems.

LSU though, it would hurt.
