Ohio State simply for the fact that schools like Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Florida, Florida State, Miami, USF, ect ...USC, UCLA, Cal...California, Texas, and Florida have too many big schools. In Ohio , its only Ohio State plus Ohio HS football is top 4 in the nation

I'm pretty sure people are overestimating the ability of teams like A&M and Tech to take the in-state recruits that Texas wants. They easily have the best recruiting setup in college football.

I think one of the things that is getting lost in this discussion is that teams might have drastically different looking schemes based on the areas where they don't have elite talent.

LSU would have some trouble with the big offensive lineman not being here. So they might run different schemes that are better suited for smaller lineman.

Same goes for other schools where they might lack elite talent. Maybe you don't have the talent on the corners to run an aggressive pass defense so you play some sort of zone.

Michigan would definitely struggle to stay relevant whatsoever.

LSU would be about the same IMO.

I think USC would be good, but with other three high profile schools in their state, it could possibly balance out, depending on the coaches at Cal, UCLA, Stanford respectively.

I think OSU, LSU, and Texas would remain at the top. USC would probably get there too if they can continue to snag top Cali talent.

There are 4...FOUR division 1 programs that don't have a player from Texas. Think about that for a second, there are enough players in Texas to support every program in the nation. That's just crazy.

what's really crazy is that half a dozen teams from the state of Texas went to a bowl game and the University of Texas wasn't one of them.

No, it just that people realize that Texas A&M & Baylor who beat them this year & TCU would have kill them, can already sign kids good enough to beat Texas.

Florida and Texas schools would be beast mode.

Lsu, osu, and psu already get who they want in their state

Texas already gets who they want and has a hard time winning the Big 12 south. But this new rule would kill OU, OSU and Nebraska. UT and aTm would fight it out for the Big 12 south and then become the Big 12 champs.

Dang, Alabama may have had JaMarcus Russell and Phillip Rivers as their QBs. Might not have been too bad.

Aggies were better than Texas for the first time in how long? Texas would win the game much more often than not.

Before this season, when is the last time A&M or Baylor finished with a better record than Texas?

Don't argue with morons, they'll drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.
