Not even close
Jim Kelly and Tom Brady have no impact on Scott Norword and Adam Vinateri. Just like Brady has no impact on Eli and Tyree making that amazing play.

Don't think he'll pass Montana, Staubach, Unitas, Starr or Elway. Never saw Otto Graham's highlights, but apparently he is in the conversation, too.

Personally, I think he's better than Bradshaw due to the fact that he has achieved so much with a different cast of characters, though he, like Bradshaw, in my humble opinion, he benefitted by his strong organization.

For me and my knowledge of the game:
1. Unitas
2. Montana
3. Staubach (missed 4 years of yards, TDs and accolades to serve in the military)
4. Starr

Brady can find a way into the top-5 with another SBC MVP trophy.

That should have been ruled dead :anger:

Then again, if Welker makes that catch, people assume he's the GOAT.

If Bernard Pollard doesn't blow his knee out, he would have had a shitload more stats.

David Tyree's catch is the only thing keeping Brady from a Jordan-like status apparently

Why does the last 35 seconds in one game prevent Brady from being the GOAT now?

These two statements and this whole argument is stupid. So winning or losing has nothing to do with who the GOAT is? You're saying it's dumb that a crazy catch is the reason he didnt win another title and isn't on Jordan esque status? What if Jordan didnt win all of his titles? Would he still be the greatest ever with no title?
Results matter, a lot

Romo has a higher QB rating than Montana. Do you think he's better?

No, but Steve Young is better.

No, it's painfully stupid to think that a play made by the opposing team's offense has any impact on how good Brady is. It's so frustratingly idiotic that it makes me sad most sports fans are that dense

Most consider Jordan the GOAT in basketball although Wilts numbers dwarf his.

Jordan had other stuff contribute to his legacy:

-His "flu game"
-The insane game winning shots in the playoffs
-The hiatus and the immaculate return
-The dunk contest
-The tongue hanging out
-The switch hands layup
-I could go on

He had a desire to win, that I feel has been unrivaled by any athlete in any sport in my lifetime. It was contagious and I could sense it in my living room. He was GOING to win and nothing was going to stop him.

GOAT. Period. End of argument. No one will ever change my mind.

ETA:

I didn't mention the obvious stuff like scoring titles, all NBA defensive team like every year, etc.

I agree.

I also think Rodgers has a good shot to surpass him.

Everything about sports is connected. How someone couldn't see that is beyond me. This isn't an isolated video game scenario. New York got the ball back because Brady and the offense couldn't stay on the field. Thus a play New York makes on offense is related to Brady.

This is pretty simple...

Lol is this a serious statement? So game winning shots don't matter because they're already the GOAT regardless?
Uhh, what kind of logic are you using?

You're saying if Eli doesn't make a miracle pass to Tyree and also doesn't make a great pass on the last drive in 2012, THAT makes Brady a better player?

That's ridiculous logic. He is the same exactly player regardless of what happened on those 2 last drives by NYG, how can you think otherwise?
