It's part of the game.

Strategy

The strategy needs to be more punitive. Most of the time it doesn’t cost the team issuing the walk anything.

But it’s not good for the long term health of baseball if its biggest stars can not swing a bat for 3 hours of a World Series game.

How old are you? There was a season in the early 2000s when Bonds got on base 376 times with 373 ABs.
He was being intentionally walked with the bases loaded.

Eh, plenty of other teams with one power hitter deal with this all the time in the regular season. Their stars aren’t IBB’d, but always pitch around

Move your bomber up in the order. Put him ahead of guys that can advance him and the intentional walks stop.

It's not rocket science.

it costs them an extra runner on base that means something in close games

It’s not…but you can’t make a team pitch to a guy. If that’s the case, just plunk him. Oops…it slipped.

Do you force NFL teams to play man to man on a monster wide receiver? Are you suggesting teams shouldn’t be allowed to intentionally foul a big guy in the NBA?

it doesn't need to be prevented. it's part of the strategy. why remove it?

pretty sad the dodgers with that loaded lineup behind him couldn't make them pay for it.

they should have walked ohtani sooner.

Why are we trying to fundamentally change every aspect of the game? If you don’t like baseball don’t fricking watch.
Pro sports fans need to get the idea through their skulls that the commisioners of sports leagues aren't there to cater to the people who are already fans. They're trying to get your wives and girlfriends to watch so they can sell ad space to them as well.

Just make it one intentional walk per player per game. That seems pretty reasonable.

Ohtani is now 0-7 since all the intentional walks. We don’t need to make a rule against it.

Just NO. Many other issues more important that need fixing.
