Saints crowd really doesn't change as the opponent does

Did you ever consider that this because the Saints always play another NFL team? There is no NFL comparison for the gap in talent between LSU and North Texas.

Also, don't kid yourselves about the student section. It empties at an equal proportion to the rest of the stadium. That huge block of empty seat to the right of the band are student seats. After halftime, the top 20 rows or so inthe student section is completely empty. Did u see Mike try to crowd surf in the 2nd half? People from the bottom were running up above Mike cause there easn't enough of a crowd once you got past the bottom 15 or so rows.

I don't sit in the student section anymore, I was just trying to at least give props to some part of TS for being loud the whole game, the Dome is never quiet

Minnesota, definitely going to Denver and Dallas, most likely Atlanta was well because I am skipping Talladega because I couldn't handle watching the Steelers game on TV at Dega last year

When was the last time the Saints were a 41 pt favorite? The NFL has 32 teams. The difference in #1and #32 is about 14 pts. College football has 120 Division 1 schools, plus the 1-AA. The difference on #1 and the bottom is about 50 points.

Who they are playing should not make a difference, LSU tailgates better than any school or professional team in the country, as drunk as we are going into TS why can't the noise be kept up until at least LSU breaks it open? Don't get me wrong, I am including myself in this, I always yell my nuts off for about the first 2 or 3 defensive plays (for small games)but by then everyone else is silent and staring at me so I proceed to make a smartass comment about the great folks around me and sit down with my whiskey

Saints games, my entire section is from chalmette and I don't have a voice come Monday. If LSU plays a home game Saturday I am the definition of mute come Sunday after Saints game

whoever mentioned no booze, I always bring a fith of Early Times whiskey in but I could definitely see someone who doesn't want to risk it leaving early in a blowout game.

then you really have no basis for comparison in this discussion. You've been to some pretty cool college atmosphere's and one lame arse NFL city.

Then what explains the mass exodus of LSU fans in a 1 possession WV game 2 years ago? Against a ranked team.

Been to the dome more times than I can remember. It still feels strange watching football in a climate controlled building. I always have more fun in TS.

The crowd is more consistent in the dome. No arguing that. Factors IMO:
- I see way less kids at saints game. TS has a bit of a family atmosphere. Especially for the rent a wins
- beer sales
- NFL parity
- LSU's spoiled fan base. At this point in the program, it's NC or bust for a lot of folks.

It was pointed out above but I will say it again in different terms, just remember WVU (like he said) a few years ago

Since LSU became a national power house and prices for tickets and parking went up the crowd has definitely changed. You have your people that are leaving at halftime to beat traffic regardless of the score unless we are playing Bama/UF/Auburn, etc.

LSU is catering to the wine and cheese crowd while the Saints are catering to the drunk loud as hell crowd

let me point this out again, I am not bashing LSU or the Saints, was just bored drunk and making an observation

no its there i been on it for 8 years, its just terrible managed with no real # in line and buying club seats which is about 15k seats skips all that and puts you first in line for lower level later on

with everything that has gone down with the Saints this offseason 14 points may be a gift, especially if you have seen out defense play this pre season

IMO RG3 puts up good numbers next week but we win 30-20

I've not yet been to TS, but I'm going to have to disagree. I hated the dome when we went down for the BCSNCG in 07/08. It's loud, yes, but other than that wasn't very nice at all.

I mean, just look at this shite and tell me it's awesome

I'll always prefer an outdoor setting with football anyways, but shite that's an ugly way of going about enclosing your football stadium.
And since I've already pissed off the lovely LA folk, it is much better than this shite though

It also much more comfortable in the dome. Never 90 degrees or 40 degrees and I have my own seat. Never have to deal with the fat asses taking up more than their seat on the bleacher.
