If i was an ohio state fan, ild hate that building too. Not nice? I wonder why so many super bowls and final 4s have been played in such a shitty building?

If we had won by 50 I would still dislike the stadium.
Is it the worst stadium out there? Obviously not.
Is it ugly as shite? Obviously yes.

Eta: just to point it out, I did have a great time in NO and hope to make it back again. The city was great for hosting the NCG, I just didn't care for the dome.

"It's an 8-track disco ball relic in this new millenniumn."

Do people go to a football game to see the stadium or see a football game? There's nothing wrong with the Dome, a stadium doesn't need to be the county fair.

Dude, you're embarrassing yourself. "Crown jewel of the New Orleans skyline" has been the Domes nickname for years. It's an architectural marvel.

It really isn't man and this is coming from a fan of the original dome, the Astrodome.

Let me know when the Saints play a team in the NFL that has a talent disparity remotely close to that of LSU vs NT.

You won't find a time where that happens though, because the NFL has only had one team in history go without winning a game. So every game in the Dome there is a chance your team loses, in Tiger Stadium there was zero chance we were going to lose to North Texas.

which is why the argument that every game means more in CFB is stupid. There are scrimmages all the time. LSU plays 3 cupcakes this season. So if you cut the schedule to 8 games, of course every game means more.

In the nfl, every team can beat you. I would have preferred to tailgate in Nola with the heat this week, but LSU has better tailgating by far.

Dome>TS though

I've not yet been to TS, but I'm going to have to disagree. I hated the dome when we went down for the BCSNCG in 07/08. It's loud, yes, but other than that wasn't very nice at all.

they've made several renovations to the dome and the surrounding areas since 2007

I would love to hear 12 stadiums better than the Dome for the NFL.

The superdome is aesthetically one of the most attractive Stadiums in the world. If you have limited architectural taste I really can't help you much. Travel more. Read more.

To compare it to the Astrodome only shows your ignorance.

It's a one way street on that one for the most part. BR peeps are really not on the radar in NOLA.

I've been to almost every stadium.

Factoring in location the Dome is in top 12 easily.

Dallas (location blows)
Phoenix (location blows)
Chicago
New jersey (location blows)
New England (location blows)
Denver
Seattle
Pittsburgh
Houston

Really these are the only ones "clearly better". Some will say Nashville Tampa Carolina Philly green bay Baltimore cleveland cincy are newer - but the dome is nicer than all these now even though it's older.

i agree. Dallas is all out the way out in Arlington. The Dome is built in the middle of the CBD. Easy walking location to most bars

I haven't missed an LSU game in about 10 years. Go to a few road games a year too. I'll take a Saints night game over a LSU night game

Ive been to the Superdome (Ole Miss vs. Tulane) and trust me the two other NFL stadiums I have watched a game at (Cowboys Stadium and Reliant) make it look like trash.

BTW the Astrodome was the first stadium of its kind, also the first domed sports stadium... shows your ignorance.

so the Dome isn't top 12 because you saw a shitty college game and watched other games in arguably the 2 nicest stadiums in the NFL?

I'm sure you really got to hear the Tulane fans rock the dome in that game

btw, the Dome has been renovated since that game for 300+ million

The Astrodome was unbelievably flawed and was always an eyesore. It's signature feature never worked and the stadium was obsolete 10 years after its completion.

Comparing the astrodome to the superdome is like comparing TJ Maxx to Nordstroms.

You're a clown. I loved the Astrodome for sentimental reasons when I was a kid, but it's absolute trash compared to the Superdome. They aren't even in the same sentence, really. Enjoy your rodeos and monster truck shows, boss.

The Superdome would actually have to be that nice to be in that category, to me its more like a Old Navy
