That is really awesome! Some thoughts
1. Lets say a kid plays sports and is not the star players but is good enough to get a 2 star ranking. He gets offers from lower tier colleges and its likely he goes fo one with much worse facilities.
2. When I grew up for lunch we had a punch card for 20 meals to buy, and 20 drinks (milk). Our school secretary sat in a chair and as you approached she would use a hand held punch and click off 1 of each. If you wanted 2 milks she clicked 2 of that card.
Then us kids would send a message to the meal prep moms for things we never ate. No one ate peas. So the first kid who finished eating we would all scrape our peas onto their big 4 section plate and pile it as high as we could. Then we would return our plates and thought it was funny with the one piled high. Of course, we never realized it made their job easier to clean plates since all but one were clear of food. Kids. Sometimes a kid would forget their punch card (or parents were poor and never renewed) and we’d have the punch lady do 2 so they could eat. My parents would get mad though as I was asking for lunch money before my brothers/sisters.
Seeing how kids have so much offerings nowadays is really cool. But I do wonder since we give kids everything now if that helps or not in the bigger scheme of life things. I used my upbringing to work my arse off in life to be successful, knowing where I came from.

Wish I went to a high school like that

Having said that, I think I saw where that Katy mega stadium is shared by 8 schools in the district? The problem with a smaller stadium is that as soon as you have a big game with a similar-sized rival, you've got angry parents and relatives of kids on the team and the band out the kazoo who can't get into the stadium due to lack of capacity. And the residents did vote for the bond.
there are 9 football playing HS in KISD that share Rhodes and the new Legacy Stadium. that is freshmen, jv and varsity teams
plus all of the soccer teams, bands, middle schools teams, community activities, youth sports etc
both facilities are being used constantly

Now none of the schools in Lafayette Parish are above 2000 kids. And in fact LHS is getting a brand new campus (at the same location).
long overdue

Imagine where the constitutional republic would be if the public school system put that much emphasis/money on academics, particularly STEM?

I don't think we should be alarmed until they put a Whole Foods in there, so the kids can spend $50 on lunch every day.

My kids school had catered lunch
It's pretty cool set up they do Salads or a hot meal a side and desert w/ water $6.25.
They used to get chicfila or pizza hut and salad station delivered to school. That stopped w/ covid

Fast food joints have been in high schools for over 40 years. Nothing to see here.

I was a navy recruiter in Frisco, McKinney, Prosper and Allen. Believe me when I say they don't build schools unless it's going to be a 5A+. They build the school to size and close off whole wings until student population increases.
Independence high in Frisco and Prosper were the most ridiculous high schools I ever walked into. Independence had purple marble in the fricking walls. Prosper looked nicer than Mcneese and UL campuses.
It's a different world up there. Money is flowing from tech and families coming to Texas. Frisco and Prosper will only continue to get wealthier and more extravagant.

Theyve had plans to expand 380 for a while but they are going to have to take a lot of people's property which doesn't jive with the libertarian bent up there

A lot of these ISDs are among the highest academic performing districts in the country.

Yeah. The same schools in Frisco and McKinney is where I did my nuclear program and advanced programs recruiting. Their STEM programs are incredible compared to most.

This school in question, their ISD is ranked 144th best in the nation out of over 10k school districts.

People act like no state income tax is a big thing but they are paying taxes in other ways.
This is true but taxes in Texas are overall lower than Louisiana and most states
