Not only is he elite at a highly athletic sport like basketball, he is absolutely elite at golf, a blimey technical sport lad. Which I’ve heard it’s cracking hard to play a technical sport

Kobe was very modest. If he said, "
Regardless, the point is not that Kobe or Lebron as specific individuals would be the ones to make it. The point is that the US has a huge pool of elite athletes like that to put in the bucket and see who rises to the top.

if Kobe was good enough to play soccer professionally he would have, Especially in Italy where there are 100s of professional teams and even more semi-professional teams. Im sure he was good, much better than myself, but professionals are on an entirely different planet skillwise.

No, Kobe was always going to follow in his father's footsteps as an NBA player. Soccer was a hobby for him. His dad was a professional bball player in Italy, which is why they were there in the first place.

Reducing Haaland to just a physical freak is like saying the only reason Tiger Woods was good at golf was because he worked out and none of the other pros did.
