How would you rank the national championship games of the CFP era so far?

There have been nine of them so far:
2015 CFP NCG: Ohio State - 42 Oregon - 20
2016 CFP NCG: Alabama - 45 Clemson - 40
2017 CFP NCG: Clemson - 35 Alabama - 31
2018 CFP NCG: Alabama - 26 Georgia - 23 (OT)
2019 CFP NCG: Clemson - 44 Alabama - 16
2020 CFP NCG: LSU - 42 Clemson - 25
2021 CFP NCG: Alabama - 52 Ohio State - 24
2022 CFP NCG: Georgia - 33 Alabama - 18
2023 CFP NCG: Georgia - 65 TCU - 7
In actuality, there have only been three good games, two average ones, and the rest stinkers. Ohio State and Oregon were close until the fourth quarter; the same goes for Alabama-Georgia in 2022. Two of the three Alabama-Clemson games were classics, as was the 2018 match-up between Alabama and Georgia.
If I had to rank them:

2. 2017 CFP NCG: Clemson - 35 Alabama - 31
3. 2016 CFP NCG: Alabama - 45 Clemson - 40

Pretty tough to disagree with your list. LSU/Clemson is my #1 but only because of personal bias as an LSU fan. As a neutral fan it was pretty one sided after the 1st quarter so your ranking is probably objectively where it should be.

Ohio St got out to a decent lead, Oregon cut it to 1 in the 3rd quarter, then OSU pulled away.
I think more people remember Oregon beating the shite out of FSU and Ohio St upsetting Bama more than the actual NC that year. That and the whole TCU/Baylor fiasco

Aside from LSU/Clemson being my actual favorite for personal reasons, these two were both great and had a cool two year story:

In terms of most fun I’ve had I’ll put 2023 first and 2022 second. 2018 last

Removing any bias and I think the best is the 2017 Alabama-Clemson game. 2nd or 3rd best National Championship game this century imo.

My favorite was when Bruno did cheerleading for Bama.

By quality of game the first two Clemson Alabama games have to be 1 and 2. The first Alabama Georgia game is third the first half was pretty boring and the 2nd half / OT are obviously an all time classic. 2nd Alabama Georgia game was obviously much closer than the score since Alabama had the ball down 8 late after going back and forth before throwing a pick 6. Neither Alabama Georgia game had the overall fireworks to top the first 2 Alabama Clemson games.
The rest of the games were garbage but nothing rises to level of absolutely trash that was Georgia TCU.
