Dinamo Zagreb football club won 11 straight Croatian league titles. Finished 2nd in 2017 and won again in 2018.

They have won 19 titles since 1992.

People would stop watching.

I remember in the early 90's people started stop watching the Super Bowl because of the Cowboys winning every year.

It would only be the Pats if they had basically won every title since 2000.

Pats have been in a ton of Super Bowls but they tied the Broncos with the MOST losses in Super Bowls with 5.

So that helps people keep hope every year.

There are several soccer leagues like that. I don’t see how those smaller clubs have a following knowing they will never compete.

Wooden's UCLA teams were highly acclaimed at the time. Winning 10 titles in 11 years

1. Soccer Board
2. The league in question has 10 teams. Of them only two other teams have a chance of beating them. The others are just struggling to stay in the league.
3. There is a massive money bonus given to them for playing in Champions League year after year. Money they can use to buy more players.
4. Zagreb is the largest city by a country mile, thus the support the club has.

I thought the Bills 4 straight losses and the AFC incompetence was the problem? NFC Championship games were the real Superbowl to many for a few seasons .

That's impressive but a small country and probably a bit of collusion going on.

Comparing to the Patriots is apples to oranges, but their current run in a salary capped NFL is "remarkable" to say the least.

One thing to keep in mind is that Zagreb has 800,000 people in it according to the 2011 census equivalent they did, and the next largest city has 180,000 people. So to make the example work, we need for the New York Knicks to win all of those titles while having 80 million people and the next largest city has 18 million or something.

America would never let a league get like that... we'd change rules and redistribute talent with the quickness

and in European soccer, if you have a talent on a small club, you kind of have to sell them to the bigger clubs eventually or they'll leave for free. Everyone on every team just seems to accept that Dinamo will win the league

True, each country has their blue bloods, so to speak, but it's very tribalistic like college football.

Once people become indoctrinated to a particular team, they tend to stick with them, for better or worse. And sometimes it pays off when you least expect it.

Less than twenty years ago, it would've been laughable to predict Leicester City and Manchester City would win Premier League titles, just the same as predicting LSU and Clemson would win national championships.

Because people are actual fans? I’d assume you like to bandwagon and ditch your teams once they have a down year.

No one goes to Zagreb matches

Split is the team with the most support

That and Zagreb are basically owned by the Croatian soccer federation.
