Not relative to peers. Eli is in a league of his own vs peers in the HOF. Look at things like passer rating +, for example.

Complete and utter failure. He should be embarrassed.

Namath has finished with a passer rating + of 100 or higher 9/13 seasons.

Eli is 8/15. He's finished in the top 10 once, when he was 7th.

ETA - Namath finished top 10 in passer rating 5 times.

Eli? Once.

Do you need a pat on the back or are you still flexible enough to do it yourself?

I honestly think some NFL GM's and coaches are already setting reminders in their calendars for next season.

Sean Payton anyone? What a perfect transition from Brees. He'd be set up to win a SB in his first year.

......shite, now I'm convinced Sean Payton already set this up.

Promising that was cut short?
This. When he was available he was awesome. If only the Colts had built a line in front of him 5 years ago this wouldn't have happened today.

More NFL records than anyone else in league right now

Stafford has set a lot of NFL records, but he won't sniff the Hall of Fame unless he blows up over the next half of his career. Doubtful with a miserable Detroit franchise with no running game and below average offensive lines. NFL records don't mean anything, and neither does MVP much. Playoffs, Super Bowls, and being great consistently, which he has never been. It's arguable that he didn't deserve at least one of the pro bowl selection he got.

What if he's retiring from the NFL to play in the XFL?

Anyone that thinks Cam is HOF-worthy is beyond deluded.

Never went to a Super Bowl.

Never an MVP.

Selfish enough to leave his teammates in a lurch 2-3 weeks before a season starts.

But he sho’ was dat Great White Hope doe.

Never achieved much of note to leave a massive legacy behind relative to all the hype, missed tons of games due to injury, and had a nice Civil War neckbeard.
