You know its coming. They have banned states that opposed gay marriage, transgender bans.....You know they are going to try to, or outright ban states that outlaw abortion from hosting championships and tournament sites.

I hope they try. Time to workout all of the knots in this country, from the activist corporations to the outright propaganda spewed in the media. Put their feet to the fire.

I think they tried this in Florida with the tranny shite. DeSantis told them to go frick themselves with a cactus and the NCAA relented.

Odds are that would mean banning the SEC states. Lets see how that flies

Why havent the SEC schools left the NCAA???

We don’t need the NCAA.

They need US.

It’s time to start putting pressure on the SEC to leave the NCAA.

The NCAA would be wise to stay out of the political fray on this one. They could frick around and piss off enough SEC states to provide the motivation for those schools to breakaway and form their own league separate from NCAA.

NCAA couldn’t fight their way out of a wet paper bag. They failed on seeing NIL coming and not having a plan.

They try and its the final death punch for them.

That is an inevitability. Major college sports (i.e. football and basketball) are already becoming more and more like professional sports each day. NIL, which the NCAA REFUSED to acknowledge was going to happen, has set that into hyperdrive. The more money the schools and conferences get, the less they need the NCAA

NCAA we’ll see. But the NBA, MLB, and NFL are 1000% gonna move events out of states that exhibit wrongthink. Hypocritical douchebags

It'll literally be 1/2 the states I assume.

NBA will 100% do it for all star games and shite but I'd assume it'll be only like 4/5 teams they have to think about anyways.

NHL doesn't care about anything but putting teams in places that don't care about hockey

The NCAA didn't want to deal with nil because they assumed it would he the absolute Shitshow it has become

It's not their fault the NBA and NFL have imosed age limits and refuse to viably fund minor leagues

Given the dubious economic "benefits" of sports events (whether recurring or one-off), if the NCAA wants to have liberal cities host them, let them suffer the increased tax burden.

Didn't anticipate this 100% correct NHL hot-take in this thread but here we are

I remember when Stony Brook canceled a three-game baseball series at Southern Miss because Mississippi wouldn't allow men in the same bathroom as girls. That was a ban that came from the government of the state of New York. I wouldn't be shocked if the NCAA eventually does something similar.

The NCAA thrives on states like Texas and Florida. Where would they host college baseball regionals if Austin, College Station, Lubbock, Fort Worth, Tallahassee, Gainesville, Coral Gables, etc are out of the mix? Add in Stillwater, Norman, BR.

Ditto for college hoops tourney sites. Places like San Antonio, Houston, DFW, Jacksonville, Tampa host quite frequently.

So half the country?

Sweet. Do it. The NCAA will be even more irrelevant.
