i think the main issue with Vandy would be that it's too urban.

Again...Vanderbilt.

I was more thinking about where he would have the most success. I think Arkansas is about the biggest program I could see him at

I think with the timing right now, he could do well at Mississippi State. They would take ANYONE right now.

No, read the posts, you're getting jumped because you laughed at the thought of him being an above average coach.

I think he is good at what he does
But you posted a laughing emoticon at a guy saying he's above average.

Chip Kelly has lost it.

Doesn’t his offense now appear to be less quick paced like it was at Oregon?

8, 9 and 10 win seasons are as successful as it gets at WSU.

The PNW doesn't produce much talent, and what talent it does produce goes to UW, Oregon or Boise State. WSU doesn't have much in terms of facilities and is in a very rural area. WSU is one of the toughest jobs in the country.

It still makes me very unhappy that Arizona had a coaching vacancy and hired RichRod instead of Leach.

He had a quote the other day that said he can't run that type of offense because that was back in 2012 and that was a long time ago

But which way is the arrow pointing?

This also coincidences with the abnormal downward trend of USC, Oregon, and Stanford. So is he that good of a coach or is he just taking advantage of the downfall of the PAC 12?

Stanford is 72 - 26 with 3 Rose Bowl appearances since Leach has been at WSU. They have had a rough start this year, for sure, but they've been really good almost the entire time Leach has been at WSU. Oregon has definitely dipped - no argument there. USC has frankly been kind of crap the entire time he's been there with the exception of 2014 and 2016, so I don't think it's fair to say they've been on a downward trend.

And don't forget that his biggest rival and in-state competitor has gotten much, much better than it was when he first got to WSU.

Jesus you are dumb as shite. So the coach that goes 46-7 and makes an nc game, barely losing to one of the best QBs to play cfb in the last 20 years is overrated?

The same coach that had them so loaded they made the playoffs the next year? Same coach that was having unprecedented success at that school?

Same coach that when he was running his offense went 10-6 & 10-6 in prolly the hardest division in the NFL? Yea that guy sucked big time!!

I get saying CK sucks now and sucked after he changed his offense after the playoff loss, but the dude was an amazing coach at one time.

Mike Leach has had unprecedented success at the two places he has been head coach. He had TT competing with OU and UT. Essentially had TT as the third best in the conference year after year. Better than A&M, better than Nebraska etc. He was 84-43 at a program that was barely a clip above .500 historically before he got there.

Goes to WSU, a program decimated and that has been dog shite since Mike price left 15+ years ago and struggles to rebuild the program. since then he is 40-15 in the last 4 seasons us this season. Historically WSU is below .500 and hadn't had a winning season since 03 the year after Mike price left.

How in the frick is that not success?

Wow never realized Washington state is literally in the middle of nowhere. It has to be the most remote power 5 school in the country

Some people only see success as winning titles which would be a miserable way to be a fan of a crap program like WSU.

There is hardly a tech fan out there that wouldn’t take the leach firing back if possible

I judge success by distance traveled. How far can you take a group of guys?

To win 11 games in a P5 conference with that level of talent is unqualified success. When you look at those rankings (and we do rely on them) that's literally below average talent.

Successful coaches do not do these things....

Lose to FCS consecutively at home
Lose to a team in a bowl to Minnesota who almost boycotted
Lie to AD about being interviewed at jobs
Beg to pay way for interview
Not win a division or conference in over decade of coaching

Just because he is intelligent, says and does quirky things, and throws the ball to detriment of his teams at times that does not mean he is successful.
