That is usually the standard this board holds.

Imagine a coach bringing Kansas to a top 10 level and tell me that's not successful.

Would be fun to see a comparison of recruiting to results. This is done for Mike Leach. Could do a similar one for NorthWestern I'm assuming and UCF, while we all know the schools who are horribly under performing (USC, FSU, Tennessee).

Would probably be a simple chart actually (i'm too lazy to create it)

I guess I'm getting jumped for not saying he's an elite coach. I think he is good at what he does and it is better to be at a school like Washington State. But "success" should mean something in terms of hardware

Not every job should be held to the same expectation. Being 52-40 at Washington State is really, really impressive. It is much different than going 52-40 at USC, for instance.

He's 52-40, 33-30 in conference there

I haven't looked at their year to year records but I'm guessing that's close to their best stretch in school history.

He also started 12-25 while he was completely rebuilding that program literally from the ground up. Since then, while he has had players he recruited their he is 40-15. It's extremely ignorant to try and downplay his success there.

This also coincidences with the abnormal downward trend of USC, Oregon, and Stanford. So is he that good of a coach or is he just taking advantage of the downfall of the PAC 12?

I think Leach needs to be a little off the grid and in a place where recruiting is difficult, because he's simply not a recruiter. UTenn, UK, Vandy, and may be Mizzou are the only places I could see him shine. MAYBE USCe but they're kind of uppity post-Spurrier. Moo State could maybe work.

Leach would fail bigly at Bama, LSU, UF, TAMU, Auburn, etc.

I honestly don't feel like searching but I am really sure that you and guys like LE, Egg and all were predicting they would out scheme LSU and possibly win.

Honestly not trying to argue, I just use the point because I really always thought Kelly was an a-hole and could see the way he was heading and I was told that I don't know good coaching

And irrationally loves Jeff Fisher.

Figure that one out.

Also comes at a time when Washington and Oregon are coming back and recruiting at a much higher standard than historically. You know his two major rivals.

Some of y'all lack common sense and are just plain stupid. God I really feel for y'all's employers.

Mizzou, UK and Tenn.

Not a chance at Vandy.

He'd be perfect at Vandy. They don't expect to recruit at elite levels and would fricking love winning 8-9 games a year.

And Leach would love being at such a strong academic school I'd have to guess. He's a total nerd.

Ok. I think you are reading too deep in to that word but the narrative was VERY Oregon positive on here before that game.

Vandy would absolutely hire Leach in a heartbeat. They are stuck with Mason for another year though.

I think Arkansas is the only SEC school that could handle him.

He would piss too many people off in big media fishbowl jobs. Not to mention all the boosters that he wouldn’t have time for.

LSU boosters are use to politicians like miles and O at this point. Leach would be a train wreck with them. It would be hilarious

I'll take my comment back then but I have a hard time seeing him there.

But I am sure he would have fun discussing the mascot with people
