He did get first team all defensive player quite a few times which is not anything similar to being voted MVP

He was one of if not the best defender at his position in history

There’s not even a way to determine that.

Go watch what some of those games. Defending his position back then was simply being more athletic than the ONE guy you had to guard.

Watch disruptive LeBron defense and watch a Bulls game and tell me LeBron wouldn’t absolutely destroy his man back then.

I cannot believe that anyone could watch them both play defense and come to the conclusion that MJ was better at it.

I’ve seen videos of Jordan teammates blasting his style of defense as terrible team defense. How do you even play terrible team defense when all you’re doing is playing man to man?

From what I’ve seen and listened to, the guy was either angry/motivated to murder his guy and he played very strong defense because of it, or he was a hotdog selfish defender.

An example would be that poor little foreigner he destroyed in the Olympics because the Bulls drafted him.

Christ if I have to hear another adult talk glowingly about that shite like it’s proof MJ is some GOAT level defender

Michael Jordan is almost assuredly fake news to a significant degree. There are WAY too many things that point to him being a product of ridiculous rules, lesser athletes, media hype, coach + team around him, and watered down league

He’s probably the 2nd best player to ever live. Chance he’s #1, but I really, really doubt it.

Those are some pretty nonsensical responses. Lebron was a very good defender at one point but he was exactly what you’re saying about MJ, relying on athleticism which Jordan didn’t do btw and his elite defensive prowess didn’t last very long because of it where MJ was a top level defender even in Washington.

Did you think the NBA started when LeBron was drafted?

What’s even better is that he would rather be home training his horses…,

he’ll need multiple more championships to get that high on my list

So he needs more team accomplishments to become the greatest individual big.

Makes sense…

You think he’s up there with Shaq, Wilt, Russell, Kareem?

They would all have real problems guarding him, especially Shaq.

He's clearly better than Wilt or Russell. Kareem is probably the #3 basketball player of all time (behind MJ and Lebron), so that's much more difficult.

Shaq is my favorite athlete of all time and I think he's right there with Shaq and Kareem and ahead of Russell and Wilt.

SGA has 6 boards and assist a game and somehow is the favorite?

Without Jokic the Nuggets would be a bottom feeder.

He’s the best big man of all time and probably 3rd best player all time behind Jordan and LeBron.
