Do you think Dwight Howard can lead a team to a title?

Yes. I do. He just needs the right team. The guy plays hard and wants to win. And he is dominant defensively.

Lots of players are considered bad leaders because they don't have a title. I'm much less worried about Howard than I am with Harden if I have to be honest.

Sometimes stability is what you need and the Rockets have not had that the last few seasons. Look at the teams still alive in the playoffs. The Clippers, Hawks, Wizards, Grizzlies and Warriors all have the same core as last year. You can probably include the Bulls in that as well, although Mirotic and Gasol were big additions. Obviously each team made a few moves, and the Warriors changing coaches was huge, but sometimes just health, players developing and familiarity in the system can pay off.

We have a good core, cap room if we desire and two solid picks in the draft (18, 32). Not to mention some younger players that have shown flashes (Motie, Jones, Capela and McDaniels). Getting Llull to come over could be big as well. I'm happy with the flexibility we have going into this offseason and am confident Morey will try his hardest to put together the best team he can.

I definitely want the winner of the Memphis/GS series to win the West.

Smith was a solid pickup HOU would've no way been out of rd 1 without him
Wait, Josh Smith is the difference between HOU and DAL...and yet you thought HOU would beat LAC in 6?

Well you've been picking this team all along to win, so I'm sure you thought this was the right team, no?

Quite a few people came down on Harden after game 1 regarding the team playing uninspired(as you called it), but i'm pretty sure you were going hard to defend him.

Put Bev in there with one hand to just pester the PGs. Prigioni just can't stay with Rivers.
I'ts pretty funny skimming through this thread finding all these things I tried to tell you(or maybe other HOU posters) weeks ago and they were just brushed aside.

Not everyone, but I've been trying to tell you and SwaggerCopter that the writing has been on the wall for probably over a week now.

So those odds mean something now, but when the odds were against HOU, you dismissed them as quickly as you could.

Boom Effect!!!

You still trusting that HOU defense you were defending just 2 days ago when I kept telling you how bad they've been this series?

HOU defense is HOU defense. Top 5 in the league. Sometime good offense beats good defense other times it doesn't. HOU is known for coming back from 3-1 defecits fyi.

Put it to ya like this Pels won't be out of the first round for 3 years at a minimum so get used to watching CC once we get out of rd1.

This is the first season Howard has given at least one frick about playing hard since he was in Orlando.

Some of y'all need to learn the difference between picking a team and putting out good vibes. Houston has never been my title favorite this year. Anyone who posted in NBA threads all year would know that.

Yes, because that is unique to HOU and doing it 10 or 15 years ago really means a lot right now, right?

HOU defense is HOU defense
Which is awful in the playoffs, I've been trying to tell you, you kept brushing it off like it wasn't imporant.
